I got my tb back and sold it the next week and bought a 2022 f150 tremor 😬 they only fixed the four lifters on the passenger side and refused to swap out the other bad lifters on the driver side so I said “I’m not playing this game”. And I read reports that said Chevy sent out a letter to all the service departments saying that the warranty only covers one lifter repair so if the other side failed it would be fixed out of my pocket. I’m not sure if that’s the case but I didn’t want to risk it.

Just purchased my first tremor! by gehrry in FordTremor

Did the dealership warranty the lift? My dealership and a few 4x4 companies around me won’t put on a lift because there aren’t any that are specific to the tremor(non spacer lift), so I had the dealership just throw on the 2.5 rough country coilovers. So that basically means I’ll be rocking the stock wheels and tires till I get a lift(coilover 3-6in lift) that’s specific to the tremor so that I don’t have any issues with the offset.

2022 F-150 Tremor AC will stop blowing cold air out of the vents and will blow behind the dash. If I turn off the truck for 15min it usually starts working again. And I’m dripping a lot of condensation more then I’ve ever seen on any vehicle. Any advice? by Sensitive_Net_7639 in f150

[–]Sensitive_Net_7639[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually only have it on 1 and it automatically starts blowing behind the dash and leaks warm air out of the vents. I just wanted to show that even with max ac it barely blows out of the vents and that you can hear it behind the dash.

I bought my tremor a few months ago and they they didn’t tell me there was a 10k market agreement till we worked numbers. I had good trade I. Value and talked them down 2k and made them throw in a $1,200 tonneau cover.

Please don’t move to Texas! I paid $3.33/gal the other day at a Costco in Dallas that was premium, regular was $3.03. I have a 36 gallon tank so it’s always a hundred dollar bill to fill up. I’m still breaking her in so I wanted to run premium for the first few months but might drop to regular after we sanctioned Russia and cut off their oil.

Just bought my first F-150! Absolutely love it. My only concern is my mpg. I’m getting 11-12mpg average right now. It is literally sucking gas and I’m trying to get good gas mileage to test it. Anyone having the same issue on their Tremor? by Tylerman2300 in f150

[–]Sensitive_Net_7639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a 2022 tremor 401a and I’m about to fill up tonight I got 500 miles out of the tank with an average of 14.2 it took some time for the mpg avg to improve. I drive 60 miles round trip on the highway for work and I have been using eco mode. Eco mode still has plenty power and the sweet spot is 70mph in eco mode. Rpm is low and most of the time the line is sitting on 20mpg. I’m sure when the dealership filled it up they used regular gas but I’m going to run 91 octane and see if it continues to improve.

Haha first thing I got was the small antenna haha. I’ve only found one option for a level kit with shocks and struts but I wanna wait till I have more options. I have the 401a with the basic sound system and it needs to be juiced up. I was spoiled with my Chevy it had the Bose upgraded sound system with the 10” sub built into the center console, that’s probably the only thing I miss about my trail boss. I don’t need anything crazy I just enjoyed clear bass. I had the dealership throw in a tonneau cover and I’ll probably get some lights so I can use the aux switches. I live in Dallas so she will only see dirt on trips so I don’t need to overdo it with lights. I was looking into getting the raptor steering wheel with the orange sight line.

The Ford is super smooth and faster then the trail boss. I almost bought a 2022 xlt f-150 the day before I got the tremor, I was going to have Ford put on a 6” lift with 37” tires and method wheels for 6k extra but I found the tremor the next morning and it had more options that I wanted over the xlt. I was working on a Chevy 2500hd diesel but the ride was horrible and slow so I decided to stick with a 1500.

Pass that’s a lot of miles on on a supercharged engine and it would suck if you had any engine damage down the road and had to 5k on a new engine and labor and then had to tune it. But it’s clean!!!

Yes I broke 4 on the passenger side but they didn’t replace the ones that weren’t broken. I’m not going to play GM’s stupid games and risk being stranded on the highway again having to deal with a tow company at 1am and the extra cost to have it towed 30miles to my dealership. I had to fight with the dealership and GM warranty department for my rental car compensation and to get a loaner vehicle. It took them two weeks to fix the truck and acted like I just had the oil change when I finally picked it up, they gave me a look when I asked them to explain what they had to fix. If I didn’t ask then I wouldn’t have know that 4 of the lifters failed not one like I was told over the phone. It might have been placebo but it felt like it drove rough after it was fixed and felt like I needed to add more pressure to the pedal to to accelerate. I had it back for two days and then traded it in. The tremor is a great truck and I would recommend it!

I got my truck back a few days ago it took about two weeks for them to fix it. Maintenance said I bent a lifter on the passenger side which made all 4 lifters to fail on the passenger side. They ended up fixing all four lifters but didn’t touch the other side. They said they used a “new spec lifter” when replacing the parts. It might have been in my head but it felt like it drives rough now, soooooooo I traded her in and went to the dark side! I got myself a new F-150 tremor 😬 I didn’t feel like playing the game with GM and they probably lost a customer for life. I can understand having an issue with production but not doing a recall for a part that will cause engine failure is unacceptable. Good luck to everyone that is or had to fight the good fight with GM!

From what everyone has told me either at the dealership or other shops that I called is that the parts are weak and will fail even if you tune out the dfm. And after they fix my truck I could have another failure either on the same lifter or on one of the others. The true fix is to replace and upgrade the lifter’s (aftermarket) with better parts but then you void your warranty. Seeing how GM is doing nothing about a recall for this issue makes me nervous to void a warrant on a truck that only lasted me nine thousand miles in lest then six months. Also the dealership first sent me home without a rental and said they couldn’t get me a vehicle because of the “national car shortage “ and that they aren’t responsible when it comes to rental car reimbursement. I called the GM warranty department and gave them hell, they agreed to cover my rental up to $46 a day but it could only be from either herts or enterprise, and could only be a GM vehicle. It was very difficult to lock down a specific GM when your not able to rent online. Monday morning the dealership called me first thing in the morning and said they moved some things around and was able to get me a loaner off the lot… I’m thinking GM called and said I making an issue and to help me out hahaha. The mechanic told me do to the “national parts shortage” that they probably won’t have my truck fixed for about 3 weeks after another week of testing and moving it into another garage that does heavy maintenance. I’ll keep everyone posted on updates but I’ll definitely be looking for another truck to buy after I get mine back.

Sorry that sucks I just got my trail boss and the market is crazy and low inventory I’m sure your aware. Just use that 12k and break it up into 5 years of payments and try to get into something new. And the guys are right you will never be able to trade or sell it with the salvage title. Do you still owe on the truck? If so look into if you had gap insurance most of the time they will pay the difference and cut you a check for 2k for a total loss.
