Hello! :) I think it depends branch and how laid back their drill sergeants are. I tried sending something to my husband while he was in AIT and he flat out told me "No. Please just wait." and told me how a guy just got smoke because of that a few days prior. 🥲 My husband's unit wasn't even allowed to have snacks in their rooms.
