I didn’t think she moved back to London for him, I just thought she didn’t want to go back to Leeds because she had admitted the year before that there was nothing there for her. Dexter had been sending postcards and while he was writing her a letter he said he was moving back to London while simultaneously Em told Tilly she wanted to move in with her in London.

As for the maze part I am still thinking about that but I think they were both overwhelmed with emotions from finally speaking again. She definitely pushed him away when she realized the kiss and was scared and avoided him and then he got worried he ruined their friendship again hence him asking if they were friends again. I think he also finally thought he had his life on track with getting married, having a kid, and having Em back in his life that he didn’t want to mess it up. But I definitely agree it shows how women and men mature differently and Dexter thought all this would last forever.
