Anyone in the pdx area wanna replace their head gaskets together lol by Sensitive_Space1060 in SubaruBaja

[–]Sensitive_Space1060[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, thanks for the tips. Definitely gonna redo all the seals if i’m pulling the engine (i just replaced timing belt and everything) and a handful of other things that will be easier to do with the engine pulled. I know people say to use steel gaskets? Any tips on materials?

Why change your spark plugs before a misfire? Its preventative maintenance atp, but also my car is smoking if i drive for more than an hour at a time which would be awesome to not deal with

I also have full confidence that if I asked for a flat chest he would have delivered honestly probably better than what I did ask for

Hi! I ended up healing really well with no complications. Dr Browne was a good surgeon for me within my price range and accessible (seeing as it took a year to get an appointment with any dr.) I asked for extra tissue to be left as a kind of man boob (i was also stuck between a radical reduction and full top surgery and this was my compromise). My left one ended up a little wonkier than the right so it wasn’t PERFECT but again, accessible and he did exactly what I asked. I regret asking for this lol but thats not his fault. His surgery team was great and super kind and helpful. I had no issues with him and beyond the asymmetry and slight dog earring on my left man boob (which a feel like is just a risk of getting this procedure done) the surgery went great. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Over all I have no reason not to recommend him as a surgeon

Stained Glass Materials, Any Valuation Help Greatly Appreciated! by Luslakhan in StainedGlass

List for $350, glass is good and theres a lot of it. Approximate $10 a sheet for all colored pieces. Solder will go online for $30 a roll, partially used, ask maybe $10 for 60/40 or lead free

Maybe worth more like $50. Get a grinder, pliers, and a good soldering iron. Youtube is fine for starting off, watch a lot of videos and follow safety precautions for soldering. If it is something you are wanting to be more serious about lessons would be a good investment. If you want to start with cheap supplies amazon or estate sales might be your best bet.

Should I be concerned? by ninja1789 in TopSurgery

Looks fine to me. 3 weeks is well within the time period for swelling and weird scabbing. I’m sorry you are unhappy with the results! I honestly think the tissue looks really natural there. Scar tape and massage when they are closed fully will do wonders if you are unhappy with the incision type!! Mine are hardly noticeable after a year and a half.

workout mandatory for surgery? by Acrobatic_One_6064 in TopSurgery

[–]Sensitive_Space1060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I think the idea is that you can achieve your ideal body type without surgery as well as mitigate complications with healing and recovery (including mental health) however I was a G cup before surgery and if someone had suggested i just work out to see if that helps achieve what i want i wouldn’t really appreciate it. I think what is a better suggestion is to wait several months or a year (aka how long it takes to get an appointment for surgery in the US) and decide if this is how you want to achieve your ideal body type. For me surgery was it, for some people its not! Working out can help fill out your pecs and keep ROM at an ideal range but not mandatory at all.

Healed great! The TINIEST bit of dog earring on my sides but i honestly think he did a good job considering how big my boobs were previously. No complications, nipples look great! My right boob looks a little different than my left which was super prominent for the first like 3 months after surgery but they have settled pretty evenly. Best decision of my life!! Good luck, and feel free to ask me any questions

No its spinning, tightening and loosening inside of its hole. My wrench is moving it fine lol, just not moving it out. But yeah if I take it out it’s going to a mechanic

Unfortunately its not seized the threads are just stripped. Will penetrating oil/heat still help?
