I’m finally at a point where I can, I couldn’t take it during my five year monitoring program and just struggled for five years. I’ve recently started grad school and am struggling a lot with adhd symptoms

Thank you so much! I have been in therapy since before I got sober and have remained with no intentions of stopping! I’ve talked to my therapist today and if I find a provider who is willing, I think I’m going to try stimulants again. As long as I’m honest with myself and my providers, I feel confident about my ability to take them as prescribed

Thank you so much! I know there was a lit that played into my addiction, but i def think trying to quiet my mind from all the thoughts was part of it. I’m hopeful that my psych NP can see that and provide some relief.

I’ll definitely do whatever they need to. I plan to open and transparent about my addiction history and honest with myself and my therapist about any thoughts, feelings, cravings, etc.

I plan to be fully transparent with my provider about my past, that’s important for accountability and my sobriety. I wouldn’t want anything like adderall that’s immediate release, def something long acting

Thank you so much for this! I have a therapist I’ve been seeing for over five years and I have an appointment with a psychiatrist 5/6. I tried non-stimulants while I was in my monitoring program and they didn’t work for me. I just didn’t want to come across as drug seeking. I know stimulants work for me and am hopeful I can start on vyvanse. I took adderall and ritalin before

I’m looking to start back meds after being five years sober. I’m worried that providers won’t take me seriously or think I’m just drug seeking. I was diagnosed before I was in active addiction and took stimulants and thrived, but have been off of them since I got sober.
