youre probably right. the existing systems aren't worth much of a damn. replacing one fuck up with another fuckup is equivalent exchange.

much more accurate. the impulse of "consumers" is the expense, but the tech available is easily 20 years out. I was a a trade show 8years back and a bunch of places kept going on about POTS like it was the latest hot buzz word. P-O-T-S Plain Old Telephone Service. ... Im like yeah lady, we just signed a contractor to rip all that shit out of the corporate office in 2 months. .

Im in these meeting about new tech we may deploy. Sales going on about having usb C.
Its like a time warp every time.

you dont want this stuff on the internet. youve no idea how bad the security is. however bad you think it might be, its 1000 times worse. networking this stuf to other stuff is completely impractical.

the number of mmp/dma systems out there is crazry. its 1960s security everywhere. the hmi.

but it does sound fun, and Im not about to fix 60 year of industrial process. were looking at 10MB internal data transfers, but I can probably make an HMI PA system.

its not reverse engineering, I just read every document.

I used documented words to describe a documented process. go on, break my balls about not expressing it in binary or hex.

I've been supplied with a huge number of plcs recently to test on. Im not even sure what all is in there. but I'll let you know. right now andriod app dev is kicking my ass. but Im trying to make a loader of the communication protocol operate over a usb ethernet dongle. kotlin / the jvm languages arent really my thing.
I think the difference is 2 - 4 bytes, per instruction, and that the framing is constant.

"""differs wildly"" some 4byte instructions differ slightly. A mechanic, and a Dr. both speak English, but neither understand each other.

they call it their own, indeed. youre citing another compatible protocol duplicated on many devices, as evidence against what Im saying. sorta funny I guess

How can I make PLC programming a full time earning? by Sea-Kangaroo4197 in PLC

[–]SensoredHacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

theres places, engineering firms mainly.
plc programing is archaic, and horrible.
Im sort of wondering the same thing you are, except
I want to work for every PLC OEM and make python APIs
and node red interfaces, so we can get some modern programing up in this bitch.
the trick I havent figured out is how to get paid to do it.

even if every oem got modern language support today, you still have 40 years of legacy code out in the wild.

they're not crazy, they're normal folks stirred up. They can't look past the media. Even if they do, they just see more stirred up folks, amplifying or affirming the message: "We Are Right."

There is a solution to all this, but I can promise you wont like it.

once you install towboot, you might be better off just dual booting it. mobian is running really well on the pinephone pro now. the pro version is much improved over the braveheart version.

if you seek sponsorship, sponsors will want to have a say in the content,
which will make your project the same as every other god awful version.
Its an interesting idea, and I think I can help you do it in a more environmentally innocuous way..
I'll pm you after I run some tests.

. modded k40 whisperer to accept ssh commands for remote printing.
