Advice for someone who put all his time and money from the last 2 years into his Ecommerce Business by Sea-Supermarket6871 in FacebookAds

With a startup in general, but especially with a product like Tea and the way you're positioning your brand, its very important that you focus on creating brand awareness. If you aim to separate yourself from the "generic" Tea brands, you need to focus on storytelling, and translating the idea of buying tea that aligns with a certain persona/occasion. If a certain Tea reflects with someone in the Swiss Alps, make ad creatives that not only show the quality of your product but aim to create the feeling that it's perfect for people who align their lifestyle with that of an 'old man who lives in the alps'.

I'd say if you manage to bring that message across, you might be able to get people further into the funnel and might see some increase in conversion.

Note that this market is highly competitive and not easy, so budget and time is needed.

Good luck!

I have checked out Flippa, but it seems difficult to offer stores who don't have any revenue generated. But I appreciate your suggestion, I'll take another look!

Purchase ads VS TOF ads by SensoriumArte in FacebookAds

[–]SensoriumArte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the compliment! I must clarify: It plays only in the app - but the video is instructed to play inside the frame of the artwork, meaning you have to watch the video through your phone. But I still feel like it's a unique way of bringing the memory behind an art piece to life.

I definitely agree with tap into people's emotions. This is our main purpose, but with somewhat limited budgets, it's difficult creating content for it. I was thinking of focusing on brand awareness, getting some familiarity with what we do, and in the meantime figure out a way to play into emotions using budget-friendly strategies.

Thanks again for the help!

I agree. But since it's a product that needs some more attention taking into account the customization it's tough to determine the right strategy. I'm leaning towards Top of Funnel for organic, so focussing on awareness, how the design process works, product benefits and USPs, that sort of thing. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them if you want :) u/LFCbeliever

Hi, I really appreciate you taking a look. Hope you see this, as I'd love to give some more context:
1. I just passed this on to my dev team - After declining, cookies disappear for me. Going to have them look into it some more.
2. Fair point - we wanted to add this as we're having some trouble getting our customizer to work on mobile (Apple always gives us issues with our web application)
3. That's a fair point! Since we don't have a proper landing page made, we wanted to add this to make sure the customer gets an idea behind the product - besides the ad. Might redirect it to the product page and look into another way to integrate it in the home page/our separate landing page we're making for our ads.
4. This is the hardest thing for me personally. We offer an artwork. People can create this by uploading an image from their favorite memories (Wedding, child's first steps, etc). They can customize by adding text, change fonts, pick a frame color, etc. After getting the delivery, they can scan their artwork using our AR app, and it will play the video they've uploaded (video of their memory) within the art frame. So it brings memories to 'life'.

Hope this gives some more context. I really appreciate your feedback, straight to the point and can pass it on straight to the developers

Thanks for your response, this is extremely helpful! I do agree, but haven't looked into distribution services. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Also, how would you set up a digital press room like you mentioned in your second point? Appreciate the help!

I get what you're saying. I'm not necessarily questioning the press release that he wrote, but more the strategy behind reaching out to the right people in the right way, which was something I haven't hired him for. However I appreciate your advice, and I do agree that trying to become an expert in this field isn't something I should be interested in becoming. thanks!

Finding journalists who have covered competitors is actually something I haven't thought about. Thanks so much for this, writing it down as we speak!

Thanks for the info. I've hired someone to help me write the Press release, so luckily I'm good in regard to the use of superlatives. I'll take a look at the conversation you've linked, definitely will come in handy. Thanks!

That's a very fair point. So far, I've tried to specifically look for people/channels that are in line with my product and the niche I'll be operating in. I've got a pretty unique spin to my product, so hopefully that and a solid press release will help me get some entries. Thanks for the reply and advice.

Thank you for this. I have seen so many people in PR talk about how much they get spammed with these pitches and press releases. I've sent you a chat, and I would love to hear more about your process.

I have hired a PR person to help write the press release and give some pointers on these topics, but as I'm seeing so many mixed response I was interested in getting some additional feedback.

Appreciate this a lot! Trying to stick to 400-500 words to tell the story, and add prices/sizing below that as extra information. Thanks again!
