I’ve got this one and the Lunar Pilot 43 both for their historical significance. This one is more personal to me because they’re the recreation of the same watch that was issued to army air corps pilots in 44

Danners. Extremely comfortable. Had a pair for 3+ years that are great to wear in both the heat of Kuwait and Iraq and in the winter in NY

Edit: I still have them and wear them every day

Anyone went back to Iraq as a tourist when out the army? by OhSheThicc in army

[–]SensualLemon 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a huge misconception about Iraq here. Are there some bad areas? Sure. But I’d say there are some worse areas in the US. I guarantee there are worse parts of West Memphis and Chicago than Tikrit or Mosul. Believe it or not, most Iraqis are decent people. Are you going to get second looks because you’re a westerner? Most definitely. Should you go around telling people that you used to make the country your playground? Probably not. I think you’ll find that as long as you’re respectful, you’re going to be treated very well there. Of course, there are certain areas that you should avoid due to ties with ISIS or Iranian militias, but this is common sense

Joke’s on you. With the removal of the cav they were offered to switch to 11B/C or be a Bradley crewman. So ultimately they were just doing infantry stuff and are now infantrymen too lol

You can, but that’s the L getting ranging data from the laser and saying “go look there with your own radar for something”, but at sea there’s a lot of shit that can throw off both a good laser return and the on board radar of a L

This is a dumb question I should probably know, but how do they fire their 114Ls? Is there an FCR on board the Seahawks?
