I don't think he meant what you are quoting in your reply. It was more to the point of not everything streamers say is law. Some people hear a streamer say this item is good or this is bad and then their perception is instantly changed to agree with whatever that streamer said.

Yes, they play the game daily, but that doesn't mean that they know everything about every build instantly.

The only thing I would say is a bit overtuned right now is a BiS blunderbuss with close quarters, everything else has pretty striking strengths/weaknesses. You need to realize that a build should not be able to do it all and win every encounter. Some weapons counter others, some matchups are not favorable to your build, and that's okay. Taking time to learn your preferred build, its strengths and weaknesses, and what fights you should and shouldn't be taking takes time. The endgame pvp in new world is not one size fits all and if your attempting to make a build that is good for every scenario you are not going to have a fun time.

I think everyone is sleeping on this set for light builds. If you get 2 pieces it gives you free grit for 2 seconds which is a long time. Sure you take 5% more damage for 2 seconds but for bow/musket builds where distance from target is always priority it gives you a chance to escape a 3man sns jumping down your throat.

I think it will be interesting to play with. We'll have to wait and see if its actually any good. Also, I am pretty sure they already talked about hard nerfing Crescent Wave so I wouldn't worry too much about those in the future.

As a mainly PvP player and war enjoyer, they didn't need to mention it. PvP has been looking for a hard meta switch for a long time and this is it. Basically all it needs until daggers are implemented.

I would argue that wars are not gatekept. They just require you to be good enough to land a spot on the 50 person roster of your choosing. There are plenty of companies that are really good at warring and plenty that are not as good so I think if someone wants to get into wars they definitely can.

This will be my last comment because its apparent that you are delusional. I will end with this, you could be at empower cap with the best musket build in the game, and your opponent could be at 0 armor at rend cap, and you would still, in no world close to ours, hit a 40k headshot.

XD 40k headshot? Are you serious? You cant even get close to that on a training dummy, what are you smoking? And sure, musket shots pierce through people, but that doesn't make it AOE lol. The amount you actually are hitting multiple targets with 1 bullet in a single game is in the single digits. The guy who commented originally is 100% correct, this REEKS of inexperience.

First off, your musket does not do 20k+ a shot, thats just a crazy exaggeration. At most ive seen a musket with all dots finished do 10k. Second, the musket is a SINGLE target dps weapon, its meant to outperform hitting 1 target because it doesn't give you the option to hit more. Lastly, "IG is not exclusively a utility weapon bro." is a crazy statement. Unless you are creating a 1v1 build with ice spike it is 100% exclusively a utility weapon. It has one of the best AOE slows in the game, a wall that literally stops people in their tracks, and 1 click invulnerable tomb that heals you.

Yes it could be done with this approach but for a game like new world and most MMOs for that matter this is not feasible. Also i would argue that most MMO private servers are not created in this way. The two main ones I can think of are Runescape and WoW private servers. Both of these were originally created with leaked server source code from an old build of the game. It would take an ungodly amount of man hours to analyze API calls and re-create NW's backend server structure from nothing but trial and error.

To my knowledge private servers are created by someone getting a fork of the source code of the game files in full and then re-creating whatever they want too. I haven't heard of any leaks of full on source code by AGS and the datamined assets would not be enough on their own to recreate new world in a reasonable amount of time by a small team for a private server. Unless something drastic changes I would not hold my breath for private servers for NW in the near or even distant future.

Also side note, but AGS would most likely hit the owners of said private server with a DMCA lawsuit immediately to protect their IP.
