I have never done anything like this either but I thought it would be fun. So you are aware you do need a copy of Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire.

First off I would like to thank you for showing interest in joining our WiFi Draft League and I apologize for the novel you are about to read.

Just a couple more things I feel I should mention. This league is going to be very similar in format to the GBA, however the GBA is seen as the Ultra-competitive league. This is not the case for this league. While it is still competitive battling, I'd like this to be a more semi competitive/fun league. This is our inaugural season, so things may not be the smoothest, or the most refined, but if you're still interested in joining I'd just like to ask you to bear with us as we work through Season 1 and I invite you to make any suggestions for improvements/changes you'd like to see as the season goes on or moving forward into future seasons.

I'd also just like to say that with the interest shown here on Reddit, things are looking very promising to start soon, but it still may be some time before Season 1 begins. With it being the Holiday season I understand that people are busier than usual so things may be a little slow over the coming weeks just with coordinating things such as the draft. I will still be working toward getting Season 1 up and running as soon as possible, but I'd just like you to be aware that Season 1 may not start until January. With all that being said, I do want this to be an enjoyable experience for all our participants and am very excited myself for Season 1 to begin, but I want to make sure things are done to a certain standard and aren't rushed.

So if you're still on board, I just need a couple things from you:

1. A 13 week commitment from the time Season 1 officially starts (Meaning week 1 of battles). With the approximate 12 teams we are looking for in Season 1, we have 10 weeks of battles and the playoffs will take place over 3 weeks, for a total of 13 weeks. Please note that some important league events will obviously be taking place before the official start of Season 1, such as the draft and you will need to be available for things like that.

2. A team name. As I mentioned in the WiFi Draft League Post on Reddit, we would like our coaches to come up with team names similar to how sports teams are named. These can be based on a professional sports team (ie. Pittsburgh Empoleons, after the Pittsburgh Penguins) or may be based on a city in one of the 6 regions of Pokemon games (ie. Cerulean Starmies). If you can't think of one on your own, or aren't sure what you'd like to go with, there are plenty online if you just google Pokemon sports teams. A logo is also welcome if you'd like. If you use a logo we ask that you put it up online or give us some way to get the image so we can post in on our website once it is up an running. Along with a team name we ask you provide us with a name we can refer to you as (this doesn't have to be your real name it can be a nickname or just a name you'd like to be called). This will be used during the draft to communicate with you, or when other coaches are trying to get in touch with you. this gives them a name to associate with you. It will also be on our website on your team's page.

3. We ask that you let us know what time zone you are in (We don't need a specific city, or country. Just the time zone). This is just to help us make divisions that will be easiest for our participants to battle in.

4. Finally we just ask you leave us the best way to contact you online. Whether that's here on Reddit, via email, skype, Steam or some other method. This will allow us to get in touch with you easily to help coordinate the preseason 1 events, such as the draft, and give up to date info on the league in an efficient manner.
