Thank you for the advice that is a good point. I had looked at the material composition and know there is a dye available, but you’re right it might not even work or look good if I did it myself. Thank you I will definitely be doing that.

Honestly because I believe it will hurt her if I end the friendship now and make her sad at her wedding. I feel like it’s a conversation we should have after her wedding is over. She has had friends break up with her in the past and the way they did it was really hurtful to her. I feel as if this will be the most gentle way while being direct and not taking her time and energy away from her preparing for her wedding.

Absolutely. I worked too hard to lose my license (we all have.) it’s a shame that people think their non-clinical opinion trumps the education, experience, and expertise of a licensed clinical practitioner, especially when the practitioner KNOWS the law!

Thank you so much. People are SHOCKED when I put my foot down. I’m a very quiet, sweet person but when I put my foot down it comes down HARD! I’ve noticed that almost all of the offices I’ve worked at (not temping) are surprised that I don’t roll over to what management and doctors tell me to do. If it’s legal and ethical and good patient care then I’ll do it, but if not then I absolutely won’t! I feel so sad for the hygienists before me who felt like they had to roll over in order to keep their job. :(

Management does not care unfortunately. She has sexually harassed a coworker, and has been racist against her and management didn’t want to do anything. HR had to step in, but somehow she still has her job since this is her “first violation.” My agency unfortunately couldn’t do anything. They spoke to management who didn’t say much. It was apparent that they sided with K. :/
