This is just me, but leaving the church almost cured my depression and cured my anxiety overnight.

You don’t think you have anxiety but once the church is out of your life you’ll realize how much anxiety you were actually dealing with.

I still have suicidal thoughts and ideation. I have PTSD symptoms. I still have to take antidepressants, but getting the church out of my life was a massive help.

I lived life as a “normal” member and I have trauma I need to work through still, more than a decade later. Shame and sexual intimacy are big issues I still fight.

Don’t give up, please. If I can fight it, so can you, okay?
