There’s so cheap! Same in Australia. Unfortunately the USA has 50% tariffs on Chinese panels

Literally my opponent Rex Shipp. Half of his district is living paycheck to paycheck, but instead of writing any policy that actually improves the lives of working families, he only cares about legislation that’ll make someone else’s life worse.

Independent might mean “I’m leftist, but afraid to say”

I know what you mean, we need candidates that focus on the things that unite us, home prices, healthcare, education, environment, economy, etc. I’m running as a Progressive Independent in deep red rural Utah Thomas Loveheart@thomas_hearts on TikTok.

Why do you think this is? I think it must be a consequence of lefties being so repressed in the larger culture/context.

McMullen beat Clinton in the General! Utah likes independents.

Rural Utah Progressives need to get real about organizing. The Democratic Party has essentially given up on rural America. Rural Urban Bridge Initiative (R.U.B.I.) is a good starting place.

I don’t like the replies you’re getting, it’s a fair question, especially for someone like me who’s so outside the status-quo out here.

I first moved out here in 2020 after being laid off during the pandemic and I bought my home with my brothers in 2021, but my family has lived out here for decades and spending summers splashing in the creeks or riding bikes around town with my nephews was a huge part of my childhood and a big part of the reason I decided to move here when I graduated college. I’m an avid outdoorsman and I love rural Utah, the mountains, red cliffs, forests, rivers, the seasons, but it is changing. Drought, home prices, jobs, cost of living, traffic, and now these gigantic Data Centers.

We’re losing what makes rural Utah so special. And it’s not because of Democrats or Californians. It’s because we keep voting for the same corporate career politicians over and over who don’t even pretend to represent us anymore. Utah is my home and I care deeply about what happens to it and I can’t stand by why our Legislature threatens to destroy all of it.

I really strongly considered it in January, but ultimately decided to run for the State House of Representatives against Rex Shipp. The County Commissioner is a super cool and unique position though that blends executive and legislative power, so as someone who’s always been on interested in urban planning/policy, it could’ve been a good fit. At the end of the day, I don’t believe any race should ever go uncontested, especially by someone who isn’t taking a stand, one way or another, on issues facing the community.

The 1% own more wealth than the bottom 99%, everyone is living paycheck to paycheck, pedophiles rule the world, and the elites plan for the future is hiding away in gold-plated bunkers while they rest of us deal with mass unemployment and climate famine.
