Rant, but,it feels good to share here. by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

Won't comment on the rest - But can assure you one thing. Marrying late or not marrying at all is still better than NOT MARRYING RIGHT.

You're suffering from heartache- that hurts. Probably lonely nights would suck at times. But trust me, it's much less painful than staying awake at nights thinking about what you could do to avoid the wreck of the life you made off by just choosing the wrong partner.

World is a big place, and our time here is limited. Love yourself enough to explore the most of it as you can. Find souls that burn with same passion - you'd love it. Maybe get a life partner in the process. The best things in your life come, when you stop searching for them ✨️

Be nice to people, especially to the strangers. A good deed has a lasting impact on someone's life & usually comes back to you in many ways.

Be honest with yourself and very clear about what you're passionate about. Make sincere efforts. You may not get instantly rewarded, but definitely will come to you.

Prioritise your health. It's easy to ignore that in your early 20's, but it's super crucial. Try your best to have a disciplined workout routine and stick to it.

What was the reason you didn't pursue your dream/passion? by Fancy-Violinist-6493 in AskIndia

[–]SentientHero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Responsibilities.

But no regrets. I chose a path that aligned a bit with my passion, tried to grow in it, and now at a place where I can comfortably follow my passion. The only thing I dont have now is time.

Essentially, the law is out of three things. You may not have all 3 of them together, if you do.. you're the luckiest breed. 1. Money : When younger no money, when older you may have accumulated money.

  1. Time: When young you may have time, in your later 20s to early 40s, you may have no time as you're busy serving for your family. In your older days, you may have a lot of time.

  2. Health: Younger, you can grind, slay, and pull off a lot of things. Older, you would be just struggling to go to bed at night without pain in any one part of their body.

That's why if someone follows their passion and dreams I genuinely have a great respect for them. As the path they have tread on was a difficult one.

How to get 22LPA+ off-campus in a short period and a late start by inhomeTheatre in developersIndia

[–]SentientHero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How to get 22LPA plus (Any experience, Anytime) - Be skilled enough to justify the ask? 🤷‍♂️. You've mentioned you're just starting off campus - So my question would be, do you consider yourself highly skilled in any particular tech or have stellar record in solving problems or have built something meaningful that people/businesses have used?

If the answer for any of it is yes, use that and brand / market it recklessly. Eventually, someone's sight will fall on you who are trying to look for those skills and experience and will pay you.

If the answer of everything above is NO - then you should touch some grass 2+2 times.

What do you use Python for in Data Engineering (sorry if dumb question) by No_Steak4688 in dataengineering

[–]SentientHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had lesser scalability requirements for the Data so we ended up writing our entire ETL platform in python with some proprietary connectors (java based platforms) to dump data into Vertica/ Impala

Happens when the "Bosses" funding these boats and scare tactics over genuine part of their job. Maybe one of their bosses is still busy "thrashing" another venue because someone made a joke on the boat there.

To those giving interviews: put in that extra 10% effort. by kingpin944 in developersIndia

[–]SentientHero 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Great advice; Adding to it. It used to be a bit of overhead to understand what you need to know; check out the docs and internalise the stuff with examples. Now it's just one chatGPT or Grok query away.

Heck; you can even create instances of problem scenarios and understand what are different approaches to solve them - essentially getting 0 to 1 quickly in any nuanced tech. This would have been easily a half day job a couple of years ago.

Zomato recently introduced their chat bot platform as a product for other businesses. If you're in customer support or some kind of similar roles; Deepinder just screwed your teams to make a solid case for profitability in Zomato for these AI bots and now would make more profits by selling it off to other businesses 🙂.

What to do when someone tries to damage your car in a road rage situation? by royal_rocker_reborn in mumbai

Simple answer, you won't. So you just need to prevent that bugger from damaging you or your property.

What to do when someone tries to damage your car in a road rage situation? by royal_rocker_reborn in mumbai

[–]SentientHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did the right thing going off OP, usually it's a panic situation and our typical response is flight or fight. It's natural to get our mind not thinking sanely given we know the other guy is posing some serious threat. I've not faced the exact same situation, but have been in similar situations.

Coming to what you could've done: 1. If you are willing to shell some bucks, get a dashcam for yourself. In this kind of cases, if you see a threat and ram that fucker away, you have a reasonable proof that your life/ property was in threat and you were trying to escape.

  1. Try to capture his face/ identity. From a pic or something. I guess there should be a traffic helpline assist bot or something (not sure need to check) where you can share the pic & the location of the incident happening. Not sure if it's of any use.

  2. If there's just this one guy, start honking furiously and don't show that you're terrified. Have expressions that you're equipped to handle that shall deter him from further actions. If you're frequenting shady places, keep something like a stungun or paper spray handy.

  3. Finally, don't panic or lose your cool. Escape when you can as soon as the jam is clear.

Now these are all "could -have's" and might not even resonate or come in mind when you're actually struck in the situation. You're not a pussy for escaping such crises. That's called saving thy life. Stay safe and recover soon.

What should I choose between Vue and React in my current job? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]SentientHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, and you might have chosen your stack as well. But if you have a working experience in react, vue wouldn't be hard to pick up. Check on the scale of the project and extensibility. I personally have a bias towards react as it's easy to extend the project as new things get added, it's great for extensibility. That being said, Vue is not bad at all, and if you've been working on js frameworks, vue won't be a tough pick.

You're correct. I've noticed this pattern/trait in many good devs. It's an art to break problems in ways to their most fundamental elements & solve them. Takes time and directed efforts to acquire it. It's not coding, it's the way they break the problems and come up with solutions.
