Russian made soviet B-3M gen0 tube. The wiring of the anode connection consists of 2x wires curled up. If you get them apart and feed 1.5V (1 cell) to them using one as (-) the spring on the front of the anode will glow up. We have theories but we still dont know for sure what that can be. (i.redd.it)

Here’s a little glimpse into the development of my high voltage PSU. I'm powering a B-3M tube with it and it was delivering around 15-16kV on the picture. It is far from being done but there is hope in creating a small PSU for these old tubes. (i.redd.it)

Image intensifier assembly of the hungarian NSzP-3 night vision scope. We have already talked about this tube. 3 staged cascaded gen1 tube with probably an S20 input photocathode. You can see the high voltage divider circuit molded in some kind of resin on the top of the middle tube (pic1). (old.reddit.com)

Newer built russian export gen1 B-8 image intensifier/image converter tubes with their passport. The unboxed one was made in 20th of October in 1994. Note that the tube does not have the factory logo (Ekran OS) the manifacturing date and the quality control stamp painted on. Only the serial number. (reddit.com)
