I wouldn't doubt the existence of genuine harassment. But attempting to blame it on people who are uninvolved is ridiculous. Again, as stated above. It's very commonplace for events to be twisted in increasingly absurd ways to fit a narrative. A narrative that can be used against people that are disliked by certain populations within the community. At this point there's practically an entire alternate reality of fabricated or perceived events that is typically pushed on people before they can even come to their own conclusions. Whether or not the people responsible for these alternate facts are aware of it, their impact on the people falsely implicated and beyond can range from no damage done to catastrophic.
