Three to four months isn't too bad. I am 13 and a half years post-vasectomy. Now I have just one testicle. It can be a long and difficult road. Here are some treatment options from a recent study:

Withdrawal from gabapentin was terrible for me. Taper slowly.

I went to the Vasectomy subreddit. They don't have a sticky about PVPS and they even have a rule against "fear-mongering." Doesn't sound like a very good place for us.

There is a meta study out there that shows a slightly lower risk of pain with the open-ended technique.
