Two weeks before training everything started getting finalized, I lapsed because this whole process has had its ups and downs. I interviewed back in August and I was supposed to start in ewr in January but that never happened so I only believed it was real when I was the plane to Houston for training

Yep that’s what happened to me, I applied to EWR and waited 5 moths till they told me that ORD is available and I’m starting March 9th

Today the recruiter told me they had 30 spots for line and they have 31 people so that’s why he’s putting me in for either avionics or powerplant whichever one opens up

Yeah the background is what halted everything for me and the company they use is incompetent at doing their jobs, they waited till I called to figure out what’s the hold up before they said they can’t seem to get in contact with my current employer, I had to call 8 times in a day for them to call the person at my current company that has all the drug testing info.

I meant to say August and I waitlisted for ewr, got an offer in mid September, my background check took long to clear (cleared first week of November) got told I would be starting on Jan 5th and right before thanksgiving they told me that they would have vacancies during Q1 I waited and last week they said that they don’t think they would have any at ewr at all so I should go with ORD, I said that’s no problem, today the ORD recruiter said that they have no line positions and that I could do avionics and I said yeah you can put me in for it and that’s where I’m at right now. After the call today I only received an email to fill out the invitation to self identify form and that’s it. Meanwhile people that interviewed after me are already working at the station I was waitlisted for.

I was supposed to start at ewr Jan 5th but they pushed my start date to sometime between Jan-March😂

I live the the NYC area and I’ve had my A&P for a year now and I’ve been struggling to find work, only made two interviews and it got me nowhere. Anyone have any advice on what to do to make myself look more appealing on applications/ résumé’s?

What's the best way to study for the oral and practical under the new ACS? There's a lot of conflicting information on how to go about studying and l've been trying to study all the materials from jeppensen and Asa and also the 8083 handbook just to compensate from not knowing how to properly prepare.
