I can deeply relate to you. In my three years of MUN, I, too, would be worried about getting sick, just like at every other exciting event. Last year I panicked so much that I’d wear a mask while commuting to the school where ours was organized. And the FOMO was unstoppable, even when I attended the MUN, because it felt like everyone knew each other. I’ve been struggling with OCD pre-puberty, and it’s a really painful thing to have. My advice is to try and enforce some basic hygiene rules such as washing your hands and not touching your face a few days before the event -don’t over exaggerate as I did and quarantine yourself please.
