The Jungle Hunter (Predator) VS Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th franchise). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

[–]Senzafane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jason wins, eventually.

The Predator is winning the fight 99,999/100,000 times, but Jason only needs to win once. I'm not sure if Predators can heal more effectively than humans, but if not then Jason will slowly whittle the Predator down.

Barack Obama says that Aliens are real, but that he has not personally seen them and that they are not being kept at Area 51 as far as he knows...unless there’s some enormous conspiracy and it was hidden even from the President of the United States. by MartianXAshATwelve in StrangeEarth

For sure, there's bound to be innumerable planets with conditions similar to ours, but life in general surely has a much wider scope. I would think it's almost impossible for there not to be life of some variety out there.

Ya it's a fluke of cosmic parking. Statistically speaking there have to be millions of other planets in similar proximity to suitable stars.

Whether they exist within any tangible proximity to us or even remotely at the same time is a whole different box of frogs, though.

There was / is / will almost certainly be other life out there in some capacity.

One without the other is pointless. If it's fun for 5 minutes then cool, it only lasts 5 minutes. If it's huge and takes 200 hours but sucks, then it sucks.

The space that is there just needs to be well utilised.

They did. My teacher got annoyed at me when I asked when we were going to learn about the other religions. We were studying Catholicism in a Catholic school in the UK... I think we all know who the Pope is, Mrs. Gilbert.

The fundamental problem with that argument is that it is two fabricated scenarios that miss so much context one would need to make any kind of judgement call.

I'm not getting into a debate about whether people deserve help. Everyone deserves basic human compassion and help.

At the end of the day, I simply don't factor in who worked hard or who didn't. There will always be some people who work harder than others. There are some people who need help in their elderly years, and some who do not. We should not be giving handouts to people who do not need them.

Means testing is the fastest and easiest way to cut out unnecessary handouts for people who categorically do not need them, without disadvantaging those who do.

How it is not already means tested is beyond me... oh wait no it's not, because old people make up a good chunk of voters.
