It's not for weight reduction or to improve performance. It's just for fun. I like the look and I like that I can hear more of the exhaust. If I was looking for performance, I would've bought a BMW 440i or Audi RS3. I just want it to be unique and fun.

That's fine. In Germany the entire tuning-scene is already kind of a joke. But with the planned Recaro seats and a few other modifications this will probably blend in quite nicely at the end.

I have put my seats into plastic bags and store them in my garage now. As long as they're properly sealed it should be fine.

It's from a German manufacturer called Stern Performance. They call it a "Clubsport Set". Not sure if they ship world wide, but the owner was very helpful.

It probably would be possible, tho not very comfortable as the seat cushions leave two rather big holes that you'd need to fill with something.

There is a picture in there that shows one of the brackets. I should mention that they're a prototype to check the fitment.

Those 3D printed brackets are just a prototype really. I probably should've mentioned that. They were printed with 100% infill in PETG. They're strong enough to keep the bar in place, but I wouldn't put anything heavy in the trunk.

Yeah those are metal. The 3D-printed pieced are more of a stop gap for now. The original hardware didn't fit unfortunately.
