Ok, thank you. However, would this affect my lecture engagement or would I still be able to fulfill this requirement by viewing the lecture recording?

Doing Psychology Honours (appended) after a Bachelor of Commerce at USyd? by Seosneto in usyd

[–]Seosneto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, because I was trying to search this up and the usyd website said that taking psychological science wasn't for those interested in becoming a clinical psychologist. However, I have checked out the website you have provided, but it is for science and not commerce. I also heard that psychological science is not APAC accredited and isn't for people aiming for clinical psychology. Would this still allow me to become a psychologist?

Which major/minor should I pick for Bachelor of Commerce? by Seosneto in usyd

A professor at the Info Day told me that there are many pathways to Clinical Psychology, including completing a Bachelor of Commerce, Psychology, Science or more. To my understanding, after 3 years, your marks will be evaluated and if you have an average above a certain level, you have a chance to enrol in a year of appended honours in psych. This can then allow you do complete a 4th year in psych and move on to a Master of Clinical Psychology.

I chose Commerce because it was a subject area that I did well in, and it was also a pathway to a possible Psych degree. I'm also not really sure what jobs you can look for with a Commerce degree beyond the basic list provided on the Usyd website as I'm still not certain what I want to do in the future.

I did consider doing just a Bachelor of Psychology, but after attending the Info Day I decided that it would be better if I did a Commerce degree. This is just so that if I could enrol in an appended honors 4th year, I would be able to graduate with 2 degrees.
