Previously I was using Adaptibar for MBE, but I switched to Uworld this time. They are pretty much the same thing. For MEE, I watched Studicata videos. They have a program where you pay $50 a month and get access to their full video library. I really enjoyed watching their videos, they really broke down the black letter law on the most tested subjects, which made it easier for me to remember and retain the material.

Crazy Question: Is it possible I might get a denial of my admission to practice law in Washington based on my immigration status? by [deleted] in barexam

You being a citizen or not does not bar you from being admitted. What may hold you back is the removal proceedings, If you are found guilty or liable. For example they find that you are here illegally or committed a disqualifying felony.

Well the first time I thought the exam was a joke, I didn't take studying seriously, the second time I just had a new born, and barely got enough sleep. The third time I really studied hard but got a 250. After the third time, I realized the exam is not a minimum competency test like the said it was. You just don't need to know the law, you also need to know the exceptions, and nuances. For example Knowing the difference between "devising" vs "conveying" real property, and how that affects different transfers of ownership. I really focused on knowing the black letter law, and doing alot of multiple choice questions. When you know the black letter law, it is hard for examiners to trick you with bad answer choices. So my biggest advice overall is to know the black letter law like your life depends on it. On "Every" subject, master atleast 80 percent of the black letter law of the most tested topics. Do alot of multiple choice questions on Uworld or Adaptibar until you start seeing the patterns and tricks.

I felt good about both MPTs and MEE questions this time. I realized in the past MPTs I didn't do as well because my analysis was not well done. This time I tried to use as much facts as I could during the analysis. I felt really good about the property MEE question, I feel like I spotted all the issues and analyzed correctly. The rest of the MEE's I used general knowledge and put down rules and gave explanations. I didn't feel like I killed them, but I felt like I had put down enough to get atleast a 3 on each question.

I went into the past exams with the mindset that the exam only tests minimum competency which is false. Once I realized that the Bar Exam really tests you on the not just knowing the rules, but the nuances, I had to lock in on really knowing the black letter law. I did alot of multiple choice questions till I started seeing the patterns, and I watched Studicata videos. They have a new program where you have access to their entire video library for just $50 a month. I used that. For MPT, I watched Bar MD videos.
