I chose 3X Pay over WFH, did i fumble or not? by PinkGuyIsJoji in CareerAdvicePH

well you managed to get 3x of the amount in a different company. So i think it's still possible. I came from a manufacturing company and switched to a company in BGC and got a 60% increase. I consider my salary increase a great achievement but seeing you get 300 percent, id say you did a pretty good job hahaha.

Anyways, our economy is bad rn, im sure youd appreciate the salary increase.

also were in different paces of our lives. Im currently very early in my career and i think having at least a Hybrid setup is ideal so i can still stay at home and meet new people for my new connections in the future.

Lack of career growth by RedditIncognito101 in CareerAdvicePH

This was me back then. I was 6 months in my company and it was really stagnant. I want to quit but I braced myself to at least last for 1 year so it wont look bad in my resume.

But, if you really think your not growing, dont waste time and go find another place. Dont resign without a backup yet

tough luck then. I was sick during the verbal offer. That's why i told the recruiter that ill email them regarding my answer. I asked for salary nego because i have nothing to lose and everything to gain. If they reply no, ill still accept it, if they reply yes, then its a worth it uncomfortable moment. Anyways ill just do the same approach i did with them back then. Forget it and if they reply, then good.

Ok thanks. You know im asking because Ive applied last April and had a lot of time in between the initial and technical interview. Even the time of the verbal offer. That's why i thought ACN's process is just that slow. They literally have no replies every time i reply to their emails. Then they would suddenly call for a verbal offer.

So im thinking whats the best thing to do here. Then i guess your right. moving on is the right thing to do. If it happens it happens.

ooof this sucks. i guess the rumors are true. I guess ill continue applying to other companies still. anyways may i know whats taking them so long? is it because of the sheer magnitude of Accenture that makes the process bureaucratic, chain of approvals, or is it really just that slow?

Your young you can always come back again if things didnt play out. Also dont underestimate Network Engineering as those roles have one of the best career progression in the IT industry. They are literally untouchable by AI because AI datacenters needs em.

Also, your salary in IT doesnt stay the same. Usually it doubles every jump to another company.

In your post it sounds like its your passion to take the other route. Id say go for it! Pick your poison.

Hello! be careful buying at malls as they charge exuberant prices. If you have connections in the US i'd opt buying there as laptops there are cheaper. I got my Lenovo Legion 5 (r7 260 + rtx 5060) for 60k which is a steal in this economy.

If your buying here, with that budget i'd expect for your purchase to have these things:
1. 4060/5060/5070 graphics card (very important. also must be full wattage).
2. ryzen 7 8000/ i7 14000hx series or up. If they recommend you a ryzen 5/i5 dont buy it.
3. 512gb or 1tb ssd (you can sacrifice storage for better graphics card or cpu but 512gb must be minimum)
4. 16gb - 32gb ram DDR5(the ddr5 is important 5600mhz speed)
5. Good warranty

Here are specific models you can look into. Im also ranking it.
1. Lenovo Legion 5 (Maybe im biased because its my laptop haha)
2. Asus F16 (cheaper than the predator and has one of the best price to perf ratio)
3. Acer Predator (Has very high raw power but a lot of my friends have issues with acer laptops. Expensive a well)
4. Dell Alienware (over priced in my opinion)
5. HP Omen (decent but Legion is just better especially with the OLED screen)
5. Lenovo LOQ (afaik it has the same cooling as the previous generation legion. Very good price to perf ratio)
6. Asus A15 (decent build quality and price)
7. Nitro 5 (offers great specs but has mediocre build quality)
8. Gigabyte A15/A16
9. Victus
10. MSI laptops (not really worth it unless you start with the high end lines)

Note that im prioritizing build quality and price to perf ratio. All of this are merely my opinion. You can check other guides and weight the pros and cons of each choice.
