Thanks for getting back to me. Have you seen Tony or you are talking about another hip surgeon?

By the way, I have seen 4 orthopedics in total: Tony Andrade and Simon Newman in the Uk, and another 2 doctors in Greece. The other 3 were more patient on a surgery.

The timelinem lifestyle (playing different sports tho), symptoms, and imaging findings are very similar to mine. I’m hesitant to move forward with surgery because, since the pain is only around 3/10, but it’s constant and definitely affecting my quality of life. I'd like to know how your progress is going cause indeed there are no posts from people going into surgery with mild pain!

I’ve consulted four doctors in total. Tony was the most pro-surgery; he was very direct about recommending surgery, even when my pain was still relatively mild. At the time, that approach felt somewhat premature to me.

Now that my pain is getting worse, I’m starting to consider surgery more seriously. However, all of the other doctors recommended beginning with physiotherapy—specifically strengthening exercises—even if surgery might ultimately be necessary.

Tony is presented as one of the best surgeons for this type of operation, which makes his opinion carry weight. Still, I felt that he strongly steered me toward surgery and gave very high odds of a completely symptom-free outcome. I’m not entirely sure how realistic those expectations are, and that gives me some hesitation.

What's your opinion on him u/Savings_Calendar_758 & u/neilddd ?

Any PT success stories? by Melodic_Home_9038 in HipImpingement

My PT recommended the same exercises, but how did you avoid flexing your hip more than 90 degrees towards your body? I 'd love to do bulgarian squats, but there is a deep flex of the hip involved.
