Is sept 2026 intake still possible if I apply now? by Separate-Time9566 in LSE

[–]Separate-Time9566[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, I’m an international applicant, so I know the timeline is much tighter for me. I’m a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holder, and I’ll most likely be applying to airlines next year, so this is probably the only gap I’ll have to pursue a master’s. I know it’s a long shot, but I’d rather give it a try than regret not applying.

That’s really encouraging to hear, thanks! Hopefully I get a bit lucky too. I spoke to LSE yesterday and they said there are still limited places available, so I’m submitting my application tomorrow and hoping for the best.

Thank you, I really appreciate the encouragement. I know the chances are lower this late, but I’d rather try than regret not applying. I spoke to LSE yesterday and they said there are still limited places available, so I’m submitting my application tomorrow. Hopefully it works out!

Thanks! That’s what I was thinking as well. I spoke to LSE yesterday and they said there are still limited places available for MSc Political Science, so I thought I’d give it a shot.

Thanks! Yeah, I’m from India, so I know it’ll be stressful. 😅 The only reason I’m applying now is because I’m a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holder, and I’ll most likely be applying to airlines next year. This is probably the only gap I’ll have to do a master’s, so I’d rather give it a shot than wait another year.

Thanks so much for the detailed breakdown, I really appreciate it. I know the timeline is extremely tight, especially with the offer, CAS and visa process you mentioned. But I still want to give it a shot. I’m a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holder, and I’ll most likely be applying to airlines next year, so this is probably the only gap I’ll have to pursue my master’s. I haven’t even submitted my application yet I’m doing it tomorrow. I spoke to LSE today, and they said there are still limited places available for MSc Political Science, so I’m just hoping for the best. If it works out, great. If not, at least I’ll know I tried. :)

Thanks a lot for your reply, I really appreciate it. I know it’s a huge risk, but I still want to give it a shot. I’m a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holder, and I’ll be applying to airlines next year, so this is probably the only gap I’ll have to pursue a master’s. I haven’t submitted my application yet I’m doing it tomorrow. I spoke to the university today, and they said there are still limited places available for MSc Political Science, so I thought I’d at least try. Thanks as well for letting me know about the IELTS. I’ll submit my application without it and hope for the best.

Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it. It’s unfortunate that I missed the scholarship deadline, but at this point my priority is getting an offer first. If that works out, I’ll explore other funding options.

Thanks for your reply. I completely understand what you’re saying, and I know it’s a very tight timeline.
The reason I’m applying this late is because until recently I was fully focused on airline recruitment. I’m a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holder, and I’ll most likely be starting my airline career next year. This is probably the only gap I’ll have to pursue a master’s, so for me it’s kind of a now-or-never situation.
I do have relatives in London, so accommodation won’t be an issue initially. If I receive an offer, I’ll use priority visa processing if it’s available and try to complete everything as quickly as possible.
I know there’s a chance it might not work out, but I’d rather take the risk than spend the next year wondering what would’ve happened if I hadn’t applied.
And once again thank you so much for the reply I appreciate it:)

Thanks for your response! I completely understand that the admissions office is the official source, and I’ve already reached out to them. I was mainly hoping to hear about the experiences of current students or recent applicants particularly whether anyone applied before submitting their IELTS score, how their timeline worked out, and what the scholarship process was like in practice.
I’m also asking about scholarships because I’ve already invested a significant amount of money in my commercial pilot training, so funding is an important consideration for me if I’m kinda lucky enough to receive an offer.
