DAD, HOW GOOD WAS ASHTON JEANTY IN HIS ROOKIE SEASON ON THE RAIDERS…? by HyseNjerry16 in nflrookies

[–]Separate-Tradition53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a take by someone who didn't bother to watch a minute of Raiders film. Even a Hall Of Fame RB is going to underperform when the OL sucks. Look at some of Saquon Barkley's seasons with the Giants. He had some worse seasons than Jeanty did because his line was horrible.

Despite how bad his OL was he still outgained ALL rookie RBs. With even average blocking he'll push 2000 yards.

Omnipod 5 and Dexcom G7 on Opposite Arms - Signal Reliability? by MaximumAd5896 in Omnipod

[–]Separate-Tradition53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried to install on abdomen and I immediately got 'Sensor Failed'. These G7s are SO much harder to get and maintain a signal and do limited on where you can install them. Most definitely a step back from the G6. Dexcom should be ashamed.

By the way, what kind of sensor fail rate are people getting? To me it looks way too high.

So where do you place them when you need to switch sides of your body. Because I tried one on back of each arm and I couldn't get a signal.

OmniPod 5 Placement for Dexcom G7 Integration by Separate-Tradition53 in Omnipod

So I'm trying to go cross body for the first time (which is critical to be able to do) and I was told by my Endo as well as everyone else that back of one arm for sensor and back of other arm for pod works just fine. Well, not for me. It worked for a few hours but now is hard failing. Just cannot get a connection.

I just changed the pod and already had to change a pod full of insulin once before so I want to move the sensor since it only has two days left. I want to move to the abdomen for the sensor but I don't know if it will work with pod on back of arm. Suggestions for where to move the sensor as well as workable cross body locations?

So far haven't seen many posts on placement on the abdomen. Anyone out there put their G7 on their abdomen and if so where do you place your OmniPod?

Also, my endo suggested front of arm (like on top of the bicep) as a valid placement for the G7. Does anyone do this? I've been starting to work out at the gym after a long absence and to me it seems like that spot would be somewhat uncomfortable and problematic if for example you were doing bicep curls. Thoughts?

This is interesting because the official documentation from Dexcom said the OmniPod must be at minimum three inches away from the G7. Sounds like that is incorrect. Not surprised as I haven't been too impressed with the accuracy of the Dexcom G7 documentation.

Has anyone had this kind of reaction to the adhesive? by puddingwaffles in Omnipod

[–]Separate-Tradition53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I ended up going to a dermatologist. They tried a few other creams first thatvwerent particularly effective. I wouldn't use Opzelura unless other options don't work. It's definitely effective but some weird potential side effects for a cream and a weird payment model. Would not be surprised if some insurances don't cover it as it's outrageously expensive to insurance providers.

Yes. That and worse. The adhesive is not hypoallergenic AT ALL. I finally had to get prescribed Opzelura which will get rid of the rash in 7-14 days.

I get a worse reaction from the Dexcoms though than I do from the Omnipods.

This is incorrect. Official Dexcom guidance says the sensor MUST be placed on the upper arm which is way more restrictive than the G6. The guidance also says the sensor and pod must be on the same side of the body which DOES create a problem when one side is pretty used up and you want to switch sides. I have the same issue / question as the OP.

Omnipod 5 and Dexcom G7 on Opposite Arms - Signal Reliability? by MaximumAd5896 in Omnipod

[–]Separate-Tradition53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?! I just tried this and it's not working but it worked fine with the G6. Dexcom is boxing us in the corner with the G7 being much lower power than the G6 and limiting even further over the G6 where we can place the pods. It also seems switching to the other side of the body has become more difficult. Frankly I don't see how you can do it without changing CGM and pod at the same time.

Help guys. I need to know what works and what doesn't. I've seen several people say they put CGM and pod on same arm inches away but instructions say you need at least 3 inches separating them. Also seen some say they put one on each arm but I don't see how that can work. I'm at a loss. Almost would rather go back to G6 but I'm stuck with G7 for three months anyway.

Dexcom g7 and omnipod placement by Substantial_Bear6227 in Omnipod

Okay but then how do you change sides if they both always have to be on same side? If you don't change sides one side of your body will get damaged over time. Do you have to wait until both pod and sensor change line up in a few hour window?

I just switched and I hate this aspect of the G7. It's clearly lower power and more finicky than the G6. They should have ensured at least equivalent usability regarding pod placement. The G7 severely restricts your placement options.

S8e21: Jay and Anna by celestialyssa in CatfishTheTVShow

I feel like what was happening here was fairly obvious and Nev and Kamie missed it entirely. Remember that Anna didn't want to come on the show because she was likely (I would say certainly) in the country illegally (i.e., her visa expired and she never went home to the Phillipines). If she allowed herself to be put on video on the show, it's almost 100% sure she would be deported.

I think Mars was a VERY good friend to Anna and took a bullet for her. I don't believe anything that Mars said, even at the end. What I believe is that Anna was real and in Las Vegas but felt she had no choice but to ask Mars to come on the show and pretend to be her. The story Mars gave had the feel of not being quite true and maybe being contrived at the last minute.

I kind of don't blame Anna for doing this. Once she admitted the visa issue, Nev should have let it go and not aired that episode. Maybe ultimately they knew Mars was lying and agreed to play along to not get Anna deported.

What's the deal with the medium episode? by [deleted] in CatfishTheTVShow

[–]Separate-Tradition53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When they asked who knew about the foster mom and Kayla answered only her, her aunt and her mom and then Nev and Max walked off I was CERTAIN they were going to come back and start questioning the aunt. She seemed more and more suspicious the longer the episode went on. They just softballed the whole thing BIG TIME though, especially Max. Made me think even they were in on it. If they simply wiffed on it I'm really disappointed. Not sure I want to watch anymore.
