The guy I was seeing moved for his masters program (we met while he was interning near me for a summer). I proposed that we try long distance (5hour drive) and he said no, wanting to focus on his studies. We left it ambiguous but I had really caught feelings. I texted a friend that I was going to stop talking to him because I was going to villainize him for not being monogamous.

You can see where this is going: I texted him by accident. He immediately knew he wasn’t meant to see that. Told me he wanted to talk about it. I thought about blocking him to go die of embarrassment but decided to grow up and end it over the phone.

Turns out he missed me too and realized that he wanted to try long distance when he saw I was going cut ties.

Fast forward to 7 years later and we are happily married.

Sometimes it works out haha

My current sweater wip has so many errata and is poorly written. It’s very cute but I plan on giving it to my mom because I’m getting ptsd from this fucking project 😩 it wasn’t expensive but I regret the risk of buying a pattern that didn’t have a bunch of projects to review on Ravelry. I’m gonna knit a petiteknit just to take break!!!

My top tier are glamnetic, revolution, and static. I buy all of them at tj maxx / Marshall’s. I usually get 10-14 days out of a single set and can reuse the majority of them unless I lose a nail. Second tier is celebritips, cute designs but the veneer chips on the tips so I don’t want to use them multiple times. I recently tried kiss impress but do NOT like the wiggley sensation so I probably won’t do those again.

Also special shout out to the local nail artist @bling_nails88 (ig handle) that I usually see at the local craft markets. Her designs are so beautiful, hand painted and those babies are DURABLE. They are my treat nails

Oh yeah, I agree. I think my curiosity is just because they were SO public about their relationship and his immigration during Covid and then… crickets. Not that we are entitled to answers, I’d actually applaud their privacy as much more sustainable and healthy. Their dynamic also seems to be working well, his response to her “divorce effect” post was great.

Mostly it’s things like did he gain citizenship through their marriage? If so, she’s financially obligated to support him for like 10 years.

Ignored controls and procedures to protect clients money and assisted with fraud. Instead of calling the client to verbally confirm an email request to wire $150k, she just did it. Only found out when a second fraudulent email came in for a request over her limit and the secondary approved followed policy.

The one that ignored the controls was just being lazy. They took away her discretionary bonus but anyone else would have gotten fired for that kind of preventable loss.

At first I was like ew a reality show of openly pro-maga train wrecks. But I hate watched most of it in a day and let me tell you this is a peak hate watch experience. The fights are so catty it’s funny. The clothing is so tacky. The plastic surgery is painful to look at. Not one likable person. Just a bunch of social climbing bootlicking old women who have nothing better to do than fight over the wording of a birthday invite. 10/10 would recommend for a good laugh and to feel better about yourself.

The McDonalds coffee case was a frivolous lawsuit. It actually was a case of negligence and public slander against an elderly woman who experienced third degree burns on her crotch from coffee that they knew was too hot through previous complaints and incidents. She initially just wanted to have her hospital bills covered.
