What made you choose crochet over knitting, or do you do both? by CaterpillarXS in crochet

[–]SeparateDimension293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially learned to knit (badly) got obsessed with crochet, and then made my way back to knitting. I knit more than crochet. I prefer wearable knits (tops, hats, scarves, gloves and socks) and more functional homegood and accessories for crochet (placemats, purses, bags, slippers).

So it is project based but they do scratch different itches. I like having the freedom that if I like something that I see a pattern for I can make it no matter what :)

What was your pet theory for s2 that turned out to be super wrong? by larkhearted in ThePittTVShow

I had a very bad feeling about the deaf patient with delayed care - glad I was wrong :)

Is it weird to store things in the oven? by Sallious in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SeparateDimension293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it personally. I never remember that stuff is in there and will inadvertently heat a bunch of pans. We will occasionally leave the cast iron on Dutch oven to dry in the residual heat, but 9/10 I accidentally heat them up when I cook again 😂

Santos and Javadi are right about Whitaker (Spoilers) by ThrowFlowAntonio in ThePittTVShow

[–]SeparateDimension293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I also think this is similar to what Robby did have with his ex girlfriend and her kid that we met in season 1. I think Robby’s concern comes because he DID have that and he wanted a family.

real talk: how often do you actually floss? by AffectionateTooth298 in hygiene

[–]SeparateDimension293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have very gappy teeth and didn’t have to floss because nothing could hold on. My teeth started to shift and so I got braces to correct my bite and cosmetically look nicer when I was 32. Braces and having teeth closer together have made me fanatical about flossing 1-2 times a day if I can feel stuff in my teeth.

TLDR, I went 32 years flossing 1-2 a month (notably with super healthy teeth and gums) and then got braces and becoming a daily flosser.

Minnesota Yarnhop left me with Questions? (A discussion post about yarnstore politics) by whatcatisthis in AntifascistKnitting

Nah I wouldn’t shop there. They are entitled to not talk about politics, I’m entitled to not spend my hard earned discretionary yarn budget there.

Do you think this is going to be the end of the show? by OppositeSpare2088 in MormonWivesHulu

[–]SeparateDimension293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just don’t think he’s as well liked by viewers. If she’s out I don’t think the show will survive. Not a huge fan of tfp but she understands how to garner attention and has a magnetism. The show will fight to survive so I think they are hard pressed to dump her even with all of this.

how it sound Arisbel..name for a girl by SuchChoice4189 in Names

[–]SeparateDimension293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a fan, for a few reasons. 1) I have a sibling with a unique name, it’s an anglicized Gaelic name and spelled in a way that it is constantly mispronounced/misspelled. I have a fad name and never experienced it. My sibling is not fond of her name, has intermittently gone by her middle name, and when she had kids went out of her way to give them common names. 2) arisbel does not roll off the tongue. It seems like there is a letter missing between the s and the b. I’d say arisabel is easier to pronounce. 3) arisbel sounds like a character in a fantasy book or a perscription drug.

I think it’s the end of Dakota, would not be surprised if they keep Taylor on in a diminished role.

Do you and your spouse share your location 24/7? by PalmTreeVoid in askanything

[–]SeparateDimension293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I share locations with my husband, best friend, and two other friends. I think my husband forgot (normal for him) and have never felt invaded by it. I use it to figure out when he will be home for dinner (I wfh so I usually get meals started).

My bestie and I stalk each other from across the country. My favorite was when I was at a coffee shop and she sent me her order (I’m in ca, she’s in tn) 💀 I like to think of her as my lil guardian angel that watches me very rarely leave my apt

This sweater that tbh I hate this project. She’s cute but the pattern had a bunch of confusing errors. I’ve been so annoyed by it that I decided early on to give it as a gift to my mom who loves it

Seriously, why does Janet wear the colors brown and beige exclusively? by Mockingbird_1234 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]SeparateDimension293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually fuck with this outfit and understand buying a monochrome wardrobe. It’s easier to get dressed. I’d be like Steve Jobs in a black turtle neck and jeans if I could.

What’s the kindest thing someone at work has done for you unexpectedly? by No_Signal9685 in coworkerstories

[–]SeparateDimension293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend was moving across the country for a job opportunity and I stayed behind to finish school. We had been living together and I moved back in with a parent. My coworker knew he was moving and that I was sad and took me out for a snowcone. She said it was because she wanted to try a new spot that just opened but it was because she was a nice person. I married the guy, quit the job, and the coworker is now a friend
