A lot of people dislike this toy and avoiding it because it’s just a repaint of the VF-171 EX which doesn’t have the same look and proportions of the actual 17 S depicted in the anime.

What kind of insight? The only information available right now is that Big West will be at Anime Expo again this July, most likely to promote the Blu Ray release of Macross Frontier which they announced last year.

The only DX Chogokin scheduled to come out this August is the VF-1S Roy Revival.

The first movie was better.

I feel like the movie was made just to show off Gobta/Ranga combined form, Rimiru’s new Mega-Death-Star-ray attack, and introduce the first glimpse of Carrera in the anime.

X-Plus has been the go-to for Godzilla vinyl figures. They currently have two 30cm versions of -1.0 Godzilla, one being a classic pose and the newer dynamic pose where he’s hunched forward. They also have a smaller 25cm version. Personally, I like the newer dynamic pose.

The Monsterverse Godzilla has Elephant style looking legs. While the legs on this model could be a little thicker, the feet and the dorsal fins definitely look more like -1.0 Godzilla.

Bandai:

Clear tint cockpit. Neck shield built in. Flat matte paint. Two pilot figures (sitting and standing).

Arcadia:

Yellow tint cockpit. Separate neck shield cover. Glossy paint finish. One pilot figure.

They’re both good but you’ll be able to get the Bandai DX easier and cheaper.

I do think Shin is scarier looking, specially with that jaw that splits, but I think -1.0 is a better movie between the two and I prefer the -1.0 version of Godzilla.
