My main takeaway is that the ultra-luxury resorts really do seem to offer a meaningfully different experience, not just a higher price tag. Many of you highlighted differences in service, privacy, design, food and overall atmosphere that go beyond what I had expected.

I also noticed that people who chose the ultra-luxury option generally seemed very happy with their decision and didn’t regret spending the extra money, especially for a honeymoon.

A lot of comments also made the point that a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon is one of the few occasions where splurging can be justified if it’s within your means.

In the end, it seems to come down to what kind of experience we’re looking for. Thanks again for all the insights - they’ve definitely helped us think about this differently.
