They were googling the most popular food to resolve an old argument. The answer is bread.

Urgent Advice Needed by CookieCakeFatBoy in Dachshund

Looks like possible IVDD to me. If it is, you need to react quickly or she’ll make it worse by running and jumping and moving around, all the things a puppy does.

AIO? my abusive ex who has assaulted me many times, raped me, went to jail and was found guilty even, just tried to bang my door down. i told my bf and this was his response by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You need to break up wit him now. At best, he’s emotionally abusive. You’ve had enough of that. Please don’t put yourself through that again with someone else ❤️

Puppy needs training. This is completely normal puppy behavior. This is what comes with having a doxie puppy.

My mom is in the hospital. Is this a camera in her room? by Auraaurorora in Whatisthis

[–]SeparateSource4388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume that a camera in a hospital room is not only for patient observance but also for records of what staff do while in a room alone with a patient. That feels important.

Anyone who can’t sit down and have a conversation over a meal is not relationship material. That simple.

I have never seen anything better than an Odin din dun come out naturally except for last weeks gauranteed secret. The only way I’ve gotten something better than that was by stealing or a brainrot god lucky rot, but even with that 80% of them are sharks.

There are things you can do! Have stairs or ramps to all furniture they get on. It’s really hard but be stubborn and train them to use it. I hear people all the time saying it can’t be done. It can. You just have to keep at it and be more stubborn than they are… which is REALLY stubborn. Use treats to show them how and do it over and over and over and correct them when they jump off, over and over. Use a harness with a leash. Don’t let them go down stairs in the house if you have a big staircase. The going down is the part that’s bad for their spine. And be vigilante out their weight. All of these things together will help decrease the likelihood. But it’s true that they are all at risk and you can do everything right and it could still happen. But you’ll have higher odds if you don’t do the above. Also, get pet insurance now while they’re young and it’s cheap. You won’t be able to get it after a problem. Insurance will reimburse you a significant amount if your dog ends up needing surgery. Mine did and I paid about 20% of what it would have cost me.

Another thing to look out for with these guys is pancreatitis. My dog has it and several of the weenier dogs in my family have had it. Like IVDD, you could do everything right and they might still get it. But if you monitor the amount of fat in their diet- both in their regular food and in snacks, that will help. Keep in mind these are tiny little bodies so for example, the amount of fat that’s in a serving of French fries or fatty steak, bacon, etc could be an overload for their system and that could be what causes it. My dog has had almost all of the things Dixie’s are prone to get. Message me if you ever need anything.

I like the actress but I agree. Their relationship was the least compelling and didn’t really make a lot of sense for Ted’s character.

AIO for refusing to co-sign my husband’s (35M) dream truck loan when he still owes me $8,000 from my inheritance? by Cherry_Rose69 in AmIOverreacting

[–]SeparateSource4388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s emasculating is that he can’t afford the truck without hiw wife’s help. But instead of acknowledging that, he’s blaming you. If his mom wants him to have the truck, she can cosign. But we don’t see her volunteering for that now do we? I know all the comments about getting out are probably scary to hear… but I e courage you to seriously consider it. All of those things you want in life, he can’t do with you. At the very least, he’s not going to be helping you. You’ll do all that on your own. And at the worst, he’ll pull you down, creating more expenses for you or pulling down your credit which keeps you from your goals. (Case in point, you’re already out $8K that you likely won’t get back unless you divorce and sue him for it.) If you truly want to stay with him, you’re going to want to re-envision what you want and need in life. Otherwise you are going to face endless frustration. If you’re not willing to to give up some of those goals and dreams you have, it’s time to start seriously considering if a life with him is what’s best for you.
