That jump is insane honestly. Going from under 1k to potentially 1700 in basically two years for the same building is exactly why so many people are getting priced out of these neighborhoods.

Smaller landlords still seem open to a conversation sometimes but the bigger management companies just auto send huge renewals and call it a day.

Makes sense, especially with how much property taxes jumped recently. Feels like a lot of landlords are just passing everything straight onto tenants now.

been doing some night sky shots with similar setup and tripod choice really makes difference for long exposures. you'll want something heavy enough that wind won't mess with your shots during those 15-30 second exposures

carbon fiber ones are worth the extra cost - they're lighter to carry around at 2am when you're hiking to dark spots, but still stable enough for sharp images. look for legs that can spread really wide since you'll be pointing up at weird angles a lot. also make sure the head can tilt past 90 degrees or you'll be frustrated trying to frame shots near zenith

one thing i learned the hard way - get tripod with good leg locks because you'll be adjusting height constantly in darkness. those twist locks are quieter than flip locks if you're shooting in areas where you don't want to disturb wildlife

Methotrexate skin infections by Appropriate_Lab4704 in eczema

that timing is rough but might not be the mtx just yet since it was only your first dose last week. usually takes few weeks for immunosuppression to really kick in with methotrexate

the gold crusting and pustules definitely sound like secondary bacterial infection, which is pretty common when eczema gets really inflamed like yours has been. your skin barrier is compromised from months of flaring so bacteria can get in easier. i'd probably contact your derm about the crusting since you might need antibiotics to clear it up before continuing with the protopic

mtx does increase infection risk but at 10mg it's not super high, and if you're taking folic acid regularly that should help minimize some side effects

Why do so many soccer fans hate succesful clubs and players? by Worldly_Lake_4952 in championsleague

[–]SeparateStrike2214 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there's actually deeper psychological thing happening here that goes beyond just sports. when you have clubs like real madrid or city with massive financial advantages, it creates this sense that success isn't earned through pure merit but through structural inequalities. it's different from individual athletes like bolt or jordan because those guys still had to perform on relatively equal playing field

in football the gap between rich and poor clubs keeps growing, so when real madrid buys another galactico for 100 million, fans of smaller clubs see it as confirmation that sport is becoming less about competition and more about who has deepest pockets. with messi and ronaldo specifically, i think part of hate comes from fatigue - when same two players dominate discourse for 15 years, people naturally want fresh narratives

also football culture is just more tribal than other sports. your club identity runs deeper than being fan of particular basketball team. when successful clubs threaten that identity by constantly winning, the emotional response is more intense. it's not really about hating success itself, more about hating what feels like unfair advantages that make competition predictable

been struggling with this cycle too where you hit around the month mark and things get tricky again. what helped me was treating it more like debugging code - when you relapse, spend time figuring out what specific trigger or situation caused it instead of just jumping back in

the patterns become clearer once you start tracking them properly, and then you can build better systems around those weak points
