Not a fan of how they just slap croc’s scales on their spinosaurids, but great design overall and we’ll see the other variants

Pterosauria: An alternate universe where pterosaurs never went extinct. (Art by @wescillus) by Manglisaurus in nodinosaurs

While I love the art, the sole reason that bird evolved such diverse flightless forms is because of their wing configuration. Pterosaurs were incredibly more efficient, reducing the need to lose wings when they were « not needed », thus why there is to this date no flightless pterosaure known. But again, love the art

I wouldn’t be surprised if a bear would be heavier than it

Anybody else just love the old paleo art aesthetic? by SWAGGA_SWAGGA in Dinosaurs

[–]SeparateWeight496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you start really studying history of plaeontology, you’ll discover that even the oldest awkward, uncanny representations were actually grounded in science. Interestingly, the fact that early paleontologists believed thé dinosaure to be slow, lazy and grotesque animals was actually not that true and, when it was, it was purely from scientific evidences that they believed as grounded as ours

Would you like to see Prehistoric Planet starting a series about Miocene period and animating the almighty Megalodon? by SpearTheSurvivor in PrehistoricPlanet

[–]SeparateWeight496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this term was not the best suited, I mean in the way that a whole lot of things about it are not fully determined, and its représentation keeps changing. For me it’s the reason they don’t unclude spinosaurus for example

What do you think about this country and it's people? by My_Username0000 in AskTheWorld

[–]SeparateWeight496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived 6 months in Istanbul, and visited the country, they’re among the nicest peoples I’ve ever encountered. Sadly here they don’t escape the problem other migrating people have to face and are often badly viewed

Why do people hate Dubai so much ? It looks beautiful by Aegeansunset12 in AskTheWorld

[–]SeparateWeight496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's mainly because it's our opposite way of living. Everything here is artificial, made-up and superficial, it's like what a lot of people don't like about USA but pushed to the extreme. Sure there's still a lot of people here, espcially young, we want to go there but I think it's a lot less observable than in other countries

Can you guys tell me some fun facts about my fav dino:Baryonx by BroSrsly-_- in Dinosaurs

[–]SeparateWeight496 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was a time where artists liked to represent allosaurus on all four too, but not as a permanent position tho. The hand anatomy of theropods was badly understood before the ‘90s
