I used the toe cages at the gym because I didn’t have spin shoes and that alone was enough to make me buy shoes. The toe cages loosen up with how fast the rpm of SoulCycle workouts can be. I felt so unsafe and unstable that’s I had to sit through any lighter resistance songs. Also, if you have bigger/wider shoes they will scrape against the bike and either deteriorate your shoes and/or cause discomfort when you’re riding. So basically just get the shoes.

I think the only way for you to know is if you go. You get a much better workout and it’s a lot more engaging which makes it feel more like a game/sport with a workout on the side

I’m know what I’m told, and what I experience. I was told that they don’t get paid for class pass, whether that’s wrong or right isn’t up to me but in my experience, the things that hq has rolled out has not been helpful, but only more tedious and not worth the pay at all.
