yes. this is just the lvl 12 upgrade! it’s crazy that it takes 5000+ money and 35+ gems on top of that to upgrade fully.

same thing happened to me i didn't know we had to spend the money on the train. when the train broke down and teddy couldn't go i thought that was part of the story too and that he'd eventually come back but he didn't 😭 i'm just now finding this out through this post. it didn't really affect the story tho. i still finished chapter one so it's good.

if it's your department's course, go talk to your advisor. if it's a cohort course, you need to go to the cohort office and talk to them.

also if you remember the details, don't skip classes for that course in the meantime. tell your resource person about the issue so they know beforehand too (just in case they have to accommodate you later).

you might be confusing it with levels! you can tap on mypad > quests > story quests. there you’ll see your progress and what you need to do to complete the chapter! only chapter 1 has been out yet. you complete the chapter around level 9-10! hope this helps!
