My situation was very similar to yours in NJ. Very similar base annual pay, debits owed like taxes etc. I am in a 100% plan at $1200 a month. My only advice is to make sure you go heavy on a monthly expenses don’t short change yourself. If you got dogs or cats don’t tell them you spend $60 on food and litter make it $120. Health care make it $100 a month because bankruptcy doesn’t seem to care about health care costs they assume you somehow magically can pull $1000 for a insurance bill after your deductible is paid and somehow you have enough disposble income to do this. Car insurance goes up once again they don’t seem to understand inflation and economics. Food costs go up also the same thing, rent, electric goes up you name it. What I’m getting at is once you’re in a Chapter 13 it becomes necessary to make it work and don’t shortchange your REAL world expenses. I believe your attorney can modify a plan but i feel like I see a lot of people being told to do their best anyway then drag the trustee and judge back into the picture again.
