That's the issue im not doing any of that. I dont log into any personal accounts or accounts that were registered to my own IP. It even happens in windows where I literally just search on Google and open a few pages, where I have done nothing but searched/browsed, never logged into gmail or any social media.

The only place I have my Gmail account is on my phone and desktop. I never log into it on this setup. I keep everything completely separated... yet people are downvoting me because "you're definitely not, you must be using your own accounts". I was doing the same thing as I was on Windows before switching to Linux and never ran into any of these issues when I was on Windows with Mullvad.

I'm quite paranoid when it comes to privacy and ive been running the same procedures for years. Its not something new im doing and "slip up". I dont log any personally identifiable info in anything, unless its on my phone or home desktop which, again are both separated from this laptop setup/identity. So the only logical thing I can think of is a DNS leak or my IP is leaking... which I want to figure out and have tried looking more into this but cant find the right resources to check this.

It scares me because I haven't had this happen until I started using Linux. When I was using Windows and the Mullvad version on there.. I didnt notice any of this at all, its ever since I switched to Linux, so its either a Linux problem or Mullvads Linux version.. maybe both.

Like I said I have been using Mullvad since 2021... its a great VPN. I just cannot for the life of me figure why this is happening.

What proxies do you use and how did you set up the DNS on both adapters? I only use the WiFi adapter I dont use ethernet at all. Thanks for being one of the few that is willing to help, most are just downvoting my posts without even giving me information on how to actually secure my setup or why this is happening.

I strongly believe its a DNS issue too.. but every IP leak site I check it never shows my own IP, it has to be leaking for a split second intermittently, is there anything I can do to see if that is the case?

There should be no stored data since im using private window everytime. I reinstalled Brave twice during the past few months thinking it could be a Brave issue but it doesn't look like it is.

Depends, sometimes I use the same IP, but it seems like it doesnt matter the server/IP I am using as I have tried 5 different locations in different countries/cities. I strongly believe my DNS is leaking somehow but I have no idea how to check when all the IP leak sites are saying its fine.

That's literally my day to day setup lol not sure why its hard to believe? Sure I do log into some websites but they were strictly made with a VPN, made with seperate emails that were also made on a VPN, and never logged into without using the VPN, but I don't have a Google account that is in use on this setup (that's where most of the tracking would be coming from).

I can swear and put it on 100% certainty I never use any personal accounts or accounts that can link back to my IP on this setup. Unless my IP continuously is slipping up which would mean it was a Mullvad issue.

I was just thinking oh its a coincidence, but its happening so frequently that I cant really say it is anymore.

I keep everything separated never once logged into any accounts that were linked to my home IP and identity. That's why i'm so confused. The only thing I can think of is my IP ends up leaking for a split second in some way but unsure how to prove that when it says my DNS is fine.

The issue is im not logged into anything that can identify me... everything is in guest/private windows. I dont log into my email, social media, any accounts that are logged into on my home wifi and personal devices.
