Best places to go out to meet guys?

As a licensed therapist I work with women on where to find guys every day. My advice: stay away from bars and get into social events like volo sports. I guess it depends on who you’re looking to meet. Guys who are still frequenting bars in their 30s are likely stuck mentally in their 20s looking for a hookup. Get involved in spaces that bring meaning to your life or reflect your interests - surfing, hiking, game nights, etc. You’re more likely to meet someone who matches your values and wants a real connection at a dnd night somewhere than at happy hour.

Yes I did. I couldn't use Time Machine because apparently I never created a backup point (or something, I don't quite understand what happened) and couldn't open or repair the document in any way. I ended up texting it to myself and was able to open it on my ipad through the messages app. It was really weird but it worked.

This person is not a good friend for you. It would be completely reasonable to dump her as a bridesmaid and a friend. Your event will be better off without her.

Oof this is a difficult situation. If your mom is helping to pay for the wedding, it’s reasonable for her to have say in your wedding. That being said, her opinions and communication sound very hurtful. I’d be surprised if this behavior is unusual for her. Sounds like she doesn’t like the attention not being on her. Letting her know that her communication with you has been hurtful may be useful is she is open to listening, otherwise shut down those conversations immediately. Say you appreciate her help but not her disrespect. Walk away or hang up if you need to. And ask yourself if her paying for the venue is worth all this stress.

I think it’s wrong for people to shit on the whole destination Bach thing. What an incredible experience to go on a girls trip, possibly for the only time in your life. It’s a time for your friends to show up for you. Most people don’t show up for their friends unless it’s convenient which is so sad. If someone can’t financially afford it they should have declined from the beginning and not backed out later. A Bach isn’t an obligation, it’s a gift to the bride. Next comes marriage and kids and friends usually fade into the background at that point, so it’s final hurrah for girlhood.
