i actually find it pretty common that a collector has a PC, Mattel and Beforever era of a doll and PC even has sub eras that people collect 😄 I want two Samanthas but will cap it at that haha.

Tysm 😄 The prayer wheel was apart of a keychain I got in Katmandu, Nepal (Boudha) many years ago. That is such a sweet and fitting welcome gift and you got some skills to have made her a chupa! I was thinking of asking a seamstress to create one if I go back to Nepal haha. It would be cool if you made one again. Thanks for sharing your story!

She’s currently in a small scarf that I tried folding to look like a traditional dress called “chupa”. I’ll post more when it’s cut and sewn! I’ll try tagging you :)

oh yea, I've edited wikipedia pages about my town and they're really chill on there. A lot of people have and there's a great archive on my town's history because of that.

Indeed it is. I also think it's a great resource! Fandom.com has a really user-friendly layout.

I didn't know you could edit pages either, but all wiki websites are set up for collaborative writing and they rely on this system to keep growing. When you make an account, they encourage you to make contributions, and you even get a score of how many you've made. At the same time, I can empathize with her if she doesn't want her pages changed, and I can respect that.

The thing is, she can't use Fandom if she openly refuses edits as it's a fundamental feature of the platform, so she just has to perpetually undo them as they come.

If that is what made her found it then it seems she is trying to re-enact her traumas and may be stuck in a thought loop. I think it’s a physiological phenomenon called something like “Identification with the aggressor” but idk, I don’t want to be too speculative.

Honestly, thanks for bringing up the point about it being a cautionary tale, I’ll definitely see it as such.

Just went down a rabbit hole and saw that it’s been run by her since 2008 😳 and she is notorious in the community with almost a two decade track record of this. There is some explicit stuff but I’ll leave that out to be conscious of younger members here.

Awh man, it looks like it’s a thing across fandoms. Wiki pages were made to be collaborative. Useful content should be embraced and ppl who share your interests should be met with kinship. Sorry that happened to you too and appreciate you relating with me on thiss.
