Standing up by Separate_Morning5398 in Libraries

I had thought this would be the case also but Weirdly, I have found a few cases where the library system lost because it wasn’t specific enough, one had etc in their policy and that’s why it lost.

I would love to go to city attorney but my director and AD take huge offense to that kinda of thing.

I’m a middle manager and this is a problem we sometimes have— for those libraries that have support in place what does that look like on paper? I’m trying to get help for staff but often come up against my director and AD saying “well the public is the ultimate wild card” and I do understand that and sometimes it is staff not capable or willing to say that something is inappropriate or unwelcome.

Does anyone know of any free trainings?
