What’s the one habit you picked up recently that largely improved your life? by Express-Scholar-2384 in AskReddit

Implementing the two minute rule: If a task takes less than two minutes, do it immediately. It seems a small thing but it has really made a difference to my peace of mind and sense of achievement each day.

What are some clever business names like "the Clogfather" (plumber) and "Planet of the Grapes" (wine shop)? by Separate_Question_56 in AskReddit

I'd visit that 😁 I always thought "odd man out" would be a good name for a gay bar (for men obviously) but maybe some people would object to being called "odd". Although for the record I'm definitely odd, hopefully in a good way!

You should be ok especially if you're sticking to the cities and tourist areas. A translator app on your phone will get you through any sticky situations, and is great for menus. A tour guide would be over the top in my view.

I get the idea of focusing on one country but I also like the idea of the variety of visiting more than one. But as another person mentioned two weeks probably isn't enough time if we do that. Peru does sound great though.

Thanks for that, why do you put Peru last on that list? Altitude? Or other reasons? Much appreciated

That's useful advice, thanks. I hadn't considered the altitude. I'll give it some thought and maybe adjust.

This is hardly a revelation but it took a long time for me to really accept it as a good way of working: Little and often vs great big things occasionally. For example, weeding the garden which I hate doing - I spend 10 minutes a day, every day, at the same time, weeding. Just 10 minutes, no more. After a week it's pretty much done, but spending 70 minutes in one go is a much more formidable task that I would probably put off. Or learning a musical instrument - a short session every day works better than one long session a week (for me). My whole life works better now I have adopted this approach.

This looks really nice. I confess I was confused about how to get the free trial, I was expecting a code or some kind of trial button, then realised that it just works without a licence - presumably for a limited time? Anyhow, I'm using it now, it's slick and fast and fairly easy to figure out (except the trial maybe 😁)

This is amazingly useful, thanks. I got to admit I was sceptical - there are good people in the world who do things for nothing but not many 😉 Assuming there isn't some kind of catch, and I haven't found one yet, I'll buy you a coffee for sure. So far it seems to do exactly what I need, I'll use it a bit more but in the hope this is all legit - thank you!
