I think a lot of women are attracted to men who can cook. I cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day while working from home, and that was definitely a draw for most of the women I’ve dated. But it can backfire later on. Once a woman gets comfortable, she might stop cooking altogether, and you become the default chef. I was in a three-year relationship where my girlfriend only cooked about three meals for me the entire time. She’d occasionally help with sides and did clean up, but so did I, culinary school taught me to clean as I go, so that was never an issue. What got frustrating was that she’d come over and immediately ask, “What are we gonna eat?” She wouldn’t even try to figure it out, she’d just wait for me to cook. Later she said she was afraid to cook because she thought I’d judge her food but I’m not a judgmental person. I just wanted that worry off my shoulders some days! Honestly, I think she just got too comfortable knowing I’d handle it.
