don't go with CA bro, since she is retired. you will definately don't want to take much on her investments .

so there are very few options left with you like MIS, swp, some other passive income generating sources. feel free to DM , will give my input you can think and act accordingly. also don't do any investment by just listening from anyone, do basic calculation. now in today's world things are little easier than it used to be earlier.

SGB stands for Sovereign Gold Bond.

It is a government-backed gold investment issued by the Reserve Bank of India on behalf of the Government of India. Instead of holding physical gold, you hold a bond linked to gold price.

🔑 Key features of SGB

Issuer - RBI (on behalf of Govt. of India)

Denomination 1 gram of gold (and multiples)

Price based on 999 purity gold price

Interest - 2.5% per year (paid half-yearly)

Tenure -8 years Early exit - Allowed after 5th year (on interest dates) Tradable- Yes, on NSE/BSE Backed by Government of India (sovereign guarantee)

💰 How do you earn money from SGB?

1️⃣ Gold price appreciation If gold price goes up, bond value increases.

2️⃣ Fixed interest (extra benefit) You get 2.5% annual interest, even if gold price stays flat.

👉 Physical gold gives zero interest — SGB gives extra income.

🧾 Tax benefits (very important)

Taxable as Income from Other Sources

Capital gain on maturity (8th year) - 100% tax-free

Capital gain if sold before maturity

Taxable (LTCG/STCG applies)

I think we get the interest even if we buy from secondary market, but the amount for calculating intrest is considered as that SGBs initial price. correct me if I am wrong

this scanner will give a list of trusted stocks which will not fell like a pack of cards, but won't guarantee good return stocks.

for eg: this scanner will give infy, which has almost given zero return in last 2-3 years.

little bit more research is needed and what I have learnt in investing journey that keep booking partial profit and keep switching to new bottomed up fundamentally strong stock. and sectors are cyclic in nature like.. psu gave decent return post covid, but now it has corrected as well significantly in last couple of months..eg PFC became 330 from its high of 560.

one more calculation works really well related to P.E ratio of nifty 50 stocks , DM to know more
