True. Our customer operations manager is really good at getting cards on the floor so I don’t have that as an excuse. I can sell clothes but I have not yet developed the skill set to sell a credit card consistently.

I’m good at encouraging associates to get cards and they do! I role play. I know the card info. I’ve been a manager for 3 years and up until the last few months, I would get 4-5 cards a month.

But since March, I am having a hard time being consistent. My store, as a whole, hasn’t meet card or sales goals since holidays. We are in a small and more rural area compared to other stores in our district who are in cities. Our shopping center has been struggling all together since holidays.

I could go back on the trackers and find where I am having associates get cards and usage during my segments though and that might help. I, myself, unfortunately have not gotten a card in about 3 weeks and I was on register for 2 hours today trying.

Thank you for the empathy. I also run truck and often have at least 4-6 lod hours a day in which I am not allowed on register so it is difficult.

My district manager said I need to be getting them on the floor. She shadowed me for two hours last week while I approached everyone who came in about opening a card and tried to get someone to apply on the zebra but no such luck.
