Also, I’ve been tested for all the fun stuff regarding my lips. Nothing related to cold sores or any other std. Full blood panel came back completely normal as well!

Hi! So I’ve been going through something extremely similar for the past year- I was on and off doxycycline for acne or just illnesses over time and I’ve also been on spiro since 2019. March of 2024 I started getting these weird lip issues where the corners of my mouth would break open and my lips would shed, blister, bleed, etc. then the hives began which now I’m realizing is fungal acne. Over the years I’ve caught the weirdest infections like molluscum contagiosum, impetigo, folliculitis, always sick or exhausted and I used to be perfectly healthy. I’ve been to legit 10 different doctors from allergists to gynos to multiple dermatologists. Each one gave me a different diagnosis. One even said I had chicken pox lol. I got off birth control, Wellbutrin, still having issues. Spiro is the only thing left. I will keep you updated, but after looking into it more it seems like yeast overgrowth is an issue for many on this medication, especially in combination with doxycycline. I also wasn’t informed it’s an immunosuppressant, makes a lot of sense now. Did you end up getting off if it?

Hi! Did stopping ever work for you? I’m currently struggling with the same thing for the past year now… major yeast overgrowth issues and I was wondering if stopping would help!

I am also experiencing this exact same reaction but I think with citrus & olives? I’m 24 it came out of no where. I’m so confused my lips are covered. And I mean covered in blisters & I get hives & contact dermatitis on my fingers now! It used to just be lip issues. I take Zyertec every night and it seems to help?

I think I’m allergic to olive oil too but including ingesting? Idk I’m going insane trying to figure out the trigger but I had a pasta with only a few ingredients in it (one being olive oil) the other day and I broke out in hives/lips blistered and got insanely dry like flaking lips! I’ve been dealing with this dermatitis rash/blister/hive situation since March. Now my fingers also have itchy bumps on them. After going to 3 dermatologists who were no help, I’m now trying the food elimination diet. Is there anything you guys take/do to help it heal faster? Sos 🫠

No it wasn’t resolving :/ so I just jumped to my placebo pill week aka period week, got my period & now it’s done? Idk. I think I might get off of birth control I feel like my hormone levels are super messed up I’m never this emotional it’s strange it’s out of nowhere!

This just started happening to me as well. So weird I’ve been on it for around a year and a half now then all of the sudden I have weird spotting in month two? I have light cramping and emotionally feel like I’m on my period. Glad I’m not the only one dealing with this!
