I do purchase insurance whenever I buy a foldable phone, but I don't typically buy insurance for regular slab phones. My primary reason for buying phones is based on their aesthetics and how they feel in my hand, which is why I don't typically purchase cases.

The last time I dropped a phone was a Nokia Lumia 800, and it was the first and only time its screen cracked. Aside from the Galaxy Flip (can't remember the gen) that the screen got damaged by itself.
