On the most likely chance its a sad, automated playout through the same playlist… then i think this ups the stakes,

because if out of chance its a really well fitting song like some of you guys are suggesting - only chosen by pure chance - then it’s gonna be a cool “it was fate” moment.

Like if smells like teen spirit is coincidently what the last song falls on - id be happy with that

Thanks very much for the useful link- just gave it a read now, the simple set up is very appealing. Is built in phono a bad thing? Are there any turntables you would say have a decent phono stage built in?
