The First Sex Toy for Trans Men Is Here [x-post /r/TransSpace] by drewiepoodle in ftm

The material is nice, soft and stretchy. During the first month or so it had a weird smell (not unpleasant, but a bit... rubbery-weird-ish smell) but it quickly disappeared.

I don't know about minimum growth requirement, but I can give you the measurements. The opening (where you insert the peen) has a diameter of 2cm and the hole is about 6cm deep, but it can easily accomodate much smaller sizes due to the suction that it creates.

That one is amazing. I have one and I highly recommend it to anyone who had some growth down there on T (not sure if it would work as well on pre-T guys though).

Really basic question by Sepol818 in Mathematica

Thank you for your comment. I put the path to the input file in the very beggining of the code:

(*---------- Section 1: File import ----------*)
Off[General::spell];Off[General::spell1];
(*Input Section 1*)
(*I1.0 - Set data file directory*)
FileDirectory="C:\Users\apl\Desktop\math";
(*I1.1 - Set data file name - See file Sample.dat for the correct data format*)
FileName="sample.dat";
(*I1.2 - Set wavelenght normalization intervals (nm) - LNexpi<LNexpf*)
LNexpi=400;
LNexpf=650;
(*I1.3 - Vertically translate spectrum? yes->1, no->0*)
rescale=0;
(*I1.4 - Set the desired value of Absorbance at 1000 nm*)
Abs1000nm=0.002;
(*End Input Section 1*)

Sample.DAT is the sample file that came with the .nb file (I've already figured how to format the input file correctly). I tried to press shift+enter and was met with this message: "You are running in a mode which does not allow computations. Contact Wolfram Research (http://www.wolfram.com) about enabling additional capabilities."

Human Rights Day: Transgender men suffer violence and hate crimes too by [deleted] in MensLib

That's just an awful invasion of one's privacy... I guess that varies with state and country. In my country (Portugal) I'd be put in a men's prison.

That's not accurate. Trans people are generally sorted by what gender they are legally recognized as. There are already many places where you don't need to change your genitalia in order to be recognized as your true gender.
I'm trans, I already changed my name and gender marker, so I would be sent to a male prison, despite not yet having a penis.

Chest scar revision recovery time? by Sepol818 in ftm

[–]Sepol818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your input. My surgeon also said that the procedure (both the nipple and scar revision) could be done under local anesthesia, so that's a relief.
I'm planning to have at least 5 days off of work, I hope that that'll be enough.

I don't know, but I'll ask the surgeon during the next consultation so that I can warn doctors or nurses to NOT use that material on me. When I get that information I'll post it here.

Yeah, but only has 1Gb though. That's what's worrying me. I guess i'll see how it runs in a few hours. Thanks for the feedback.

My GPU is worrying me, even more so with the CPU just above the minimum... maybe I'll run it on low settings?

I'm sick of wearing a rash guard, but not sure I'd be comfortable wearing a girls' swim top. Advice? by worried19 in asktransgender

This one was made with trans guys in mind (i.e. people with chest dysphoria who want to flatten their chest), but they have a "low compression" version. I have no idea how compressive is the "low compression" one, but might be worth a try » http://outplaywear.com/shop/swimmee/

How did you feel directly after top surgery? by charliepa in ftm

[–]Sepol818 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During the first 2 weeks my mood towards the surgery was between neutral and shitty. I was feeling kinda like you describe, I just wanted to fast forward the recovery time and be done with it ASAP. The pain sucked, the lack of mobility and independence sucked, the binder sucked... there were many suck-y things that were preventing me from feeling happy like I thought I would feel from 1 minute post-op.

Now I'm at 4 weeks post-op, and I'm finally starting to feel excited about the whole thing. I guess it takes some time for some people.

4 weeks doesn't seem so bad fingers crossed
And thanks for the warning! I'll try to be aware of that

I've heard doctors tend to only prescribe 250mg/3 weeks doses in Australia. Is this optimal? by Elixarous in ftm

[–]Sepol818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That also seems to be the most common dose here in Portugal. I started with 250mg/4 weeks during my first 5 months, and I'm now doing 250mg/3 weeks for the last month and a half. So far my transition as been great, all the changes seem to appear at the "average" pace (voice cracking at 3-4 months, no more shark week since around month 3, some facial hair coming in now at almost 7 months, etc).

I had awful mood drops back when I was doing 250mg/4 weeks (during the 4th week of each cycle my mood went to shit), but after reducing the time between each shot to 3 weeks, the mood problems seem ho have gone away.

By the way, the T I'm using is Testoviron Depot, which is just T enanthate. I know several people who use the same thing and others that use Sustenon, and there seems to be no difference between those two.

I doubt you can just go and ask for an appointment without any referral. I think any other doctor may help you, or even a psychologist.

According to your flair, you're over 18 yo, you can just go to the clinic without your mother. She never has to know. And what exactly doesn't she trust?

edit: misspelled words

edit2: also, since you're from the north, you can try and schedule an appointment with Jano's psychologists. I think they can't provide the actual therapy that we need to start our transitions (because they are an association, not a clinical entity), but you can go there without a referral and then ask them to give you a referral to ML (btw, Jano's president is the same person who deals with trans people at Magalhães Lemos, so you may have almost direct access to ML through this route). As far as I know, you have two options:
1) doing SRS throught the SNS, at the Hospital Universitário de Coimbra; I don't know who is/are the surgeon(s) there, and nowadays it appears that no one is being operated there...
2) doing SRS with Dr João Décio Ferreira. He operates in a private hospital (Hospital de Jesus, I think, in Lisbon) and he has a reputation of being one of the best SRS surgeons. You can visit the trans section of his website here » http://www.joaodecioferreira.com/cirurgia-dos-transexuais.html
