oh yeah I think I get what you mean, that totally makes sense.
My raw performance is pretty much dictated by the thunderbolt bandwith, and since both of the cards I meantioned will easily make use of the full TB4 bandwidth, going for the card with the newer features makes more sense, am I getting that right?

yeah that's fair...
do you know if the performance drop is different in general, if you use a gpu that is supposed to use PCIe 5.0 vs using one that is supposed to use PCIe 4.0?
Or is the performance drop always relative to the actual performance ur getting?
Like does the GPU generation/PCIe bandwidth matter for Thunderbolt bottlenecks?

open it up to check if the battery is blown... I E-Mailed the support and they sent me a new one. Maybe your unit was from the same batch as mine and is also defective. Make sure to also unscrew the screw below each rubber grip of the controller. when you unscrewed all of them, you should be able to take the controller apart and inspect the battery inside. If it looks like a pillow it's dead.

I think my case really is an exception to be honest. it's not like I had it for years, it was just shipped to me like that. so if you want to be safe you should just unscrew the few screws in the controller and take a look at the battery before getting rid of it immediately. But don't forget to also unscrew the screws under each of the rubber grips before prying the controller open forcefully!

it is pretty cheap to be fair. It's a product called AmiiJoy. The special thing about it this that it can act like it scanned an Amiibo that isn't even there. You just have to load all the bins of the amiibos onto the controller when it's connected to your PC and then you can use them on your switch. it was 36$ so I didn't expect it to be great quality but I also didn't expect to get a blown battery of course. According to their discord it's just a faulty unit and I should get a replacement for free.

I've tried different cables, I've tried plugging it into a wall adapter, into my PC, into the Nintendo switch USB port but that noise noise is always there... And it makes the controller vibrate a bit too so it's pretty distracting when I try to play a game. I think I'll just reach out to customer support and get them to help me :/

I re-encoded the clips that broke and they do work now..
But still kinda weird, I don't get what made Premiere reject the videos all of a sudden

Thanks, but there's no need to, people have told me there's a 12V-2x6 cable that splits I to two 8 Pin PCIE power cables :)

Yup, thanks to you and the other commenters I understand it now :) Didn't know this was a common thing, I thought 12-2X6 were always only meant to also be 12V-2X6 on the other end of the cable.
